What I would give to have a "Simone" around here. Our dealer is decent but it's not the same as what you guys describe.

Simone Performance Import shop is located on Mulock Drive in Newmarket (a couple of kms south of the Upper Canada Mall, off Yonge St, in Newmarket). Do a google search for them as they have a website with all the info you need. Good idea to give Vic a call in advance with your requirements so that he can be ready with the parts.

Any Class A mechanic worth their weight in salt can do most of the off-warranty work on your vehicle. The neat thing about Vic Simone and his mechanics (particularly Stephen Bramham) is they were once Infiniti employees. It's kinda cool watching Steve work on my G35 - he's so fast and familiar with the vehicles, it's almost like he could do the work with his eyes closed.

taking care of my baby , im glad the previous owner has taken great care of my car. and i have close to 73K (bought at 65k)
Next time you're at Simone's ask him about Motul Synthetic. He swears by it for his race cars and says it's the best synth oil on the market. Kinda pricey though - $16 bucks a litre. I just had mine done, so we'll see how good it is.

That's what I'm referring to. Finding and having direct access to a class A mechanic still isn't easy. A class A mechanic that knows Nissan and works for a class A shop is the real challenge however. You're driving from North Bay to Newmarket for your class A tech.

The only off warranty work I've had done is alignments and brake flush, tire changes.

Old thread but hey still relevant. Usually don't do full fill-ups but testing it at the moment.

I'm about half way through the tank and have done 270kms so far. So I think I'll fall right around 500kms or so as well. This is city/highway both.

That sounds about right. I did 750km from Toronto to Lac Megantic and had to tank up in Granby.

City I do between 450-550 depending how I drive.

I have a G35X 2008.

Impressive for a G, especially an X.

My '07 Coupe 6MT gets 450km consistently, split between Hwy/City and agressive driving.

With a tune-up, ballon tires, a good wax job and Miss Daisy driving I don't think I can break 600.

With straight (+95%) highway driving you should be able to break 600km without any problem. If you can't then there may be a slight problem with the engine or you're driving +145km/hr

I did 700km/tank HWY in my 07G35x and now in my 11G37S 6MT with ease.

The tanks hold 75L and with highway driving we should easily see 9.5 to 8.5L/100km. That's 789 to 882km if you run the tank dry...but please don't do a Kramer.

My suburban city driving nets me between 450 and 500km/tank when the light comes on with about 8L left.
