Hi Shane...
Very nice, .....what's that funny green stuff under your car?

Yeah, warm sunny days would certainly be welcomed right about now. I spent last week in Northern NB (Edmundston) for work and I can honestly say it was the coldest temps I've ever experienced. Even schools were shut down up there due to the cold temps. Oh well, Jamaica will feel nice next month.
A more appropriate seasonal pic.

Hey Shane. Nice car. I like the seasonal contrast you've posted.
Guess we've got another big dump coming in the next 24 hours!

Yeah, it's snowing hard here now and we are supposed to get 20cms followed by rain. Originally Posted by RBull

Similar mixed bag here too. At least the deep freeze is coming to an end. Originally Posted by Garnet Canuck

This is certainly turning out to be a harsh winter so far. We've had lots of snow on the ground steady since Christmas. Usually it goes away for a bit by now. I haven't been able to get the car out.
Enjoy the warm thoughts of Jamaica. It's been over 15 years since we were there at Sandals.

I tried to start my G the last two days, but the lock on my storage unit is frozen stiff, lock de-icer and a lighter had no effect even though I keep the lock well oiled. The recent deep freeze has frozen it to the core. Might have to return with a blow torch...Originally Posted by RBull

Wow, that is frozen. I have found lubing outdoor padlocks makes freezing up worse however. Originally Posted by shilohap

Back in my snowmobile days I've tried everything from graphite, WD40, light oil, silicone and ended up cleaning them out in warm weather and using nothing but lock de icer when needed.

I have used a product for years on my door locks and on my shed padlocks.Originally Posted by RBull

It works perfectly. I forgot to do my shed lock this year and it was frozen solid. I gave it a few shots of this product and it has been working perfectly since.
It is a small Aerosal Can of a product called LOCK-EASE (a graphited lock fluid). It is in a blue and white can. It also comes in a squirt bottle, I prefer the aerosal. It is a bit messy because of the graphite, but just leave it for a day and wipe off the excess. This stuff is magic, I also used it on a car lock years ago that would cease up year round. I started using it and never had a problem after that.
I purchased mine at Crappy Tire

Thanks for the info guys. I've had no problems with the Moto-master lock de-icer to date, except for this weekend, might pick-up a can of that stuff. Cheers!
