Good Morning. I'm a new member. I've joined the other MyGFrenzi site but although it's an interesting site it didn't want to answer my questions so I joined this site, which, by the by, seems to have many more Canadian members, especially in Vancouver.
I bought my wife an '03 G 35 Sedan, black on black, for Christmas. The weather is ultra Sh--y with snow so she's driving her Toyota with four snows till late Feb or March if necessary.
My own ride is an Accura low rider, fine for short commutes, I only drive 5,000 kms per year but I ride over 20,000 kms on my CBR 1100XX SuperBlackBird.
I searched threads on snow tires and was well rewarded with info. Thanks. This will be my wife's daily driver so four snows on steel rims will be installed next Fall.
I'm finding excellent info on this site. My main concern is to detail some swirl marks out and bring the paint back up as far as possible. I plan on using clay, perhaps a wet sand, and wax. Much info on this site in that dept. also.
I don't think I'll mod her car out, especially lower it, b/c of Van. winter's. I expect snowier winters from now on. (Global Warming).
Should I ask questions in my into? or find the appropriate spot? I want the whole board to be able to respond to my questions.
Thank's, Cheers, CanadianBird
I've only driven this G three times and she hasn't driven it yet. It sits next to my Bird and looks very sweet together.

Great idea, new owners can introduce themselves here and keep the registries a little cleaner.

Hello all, new 06 G Couple owner, picking up tommorow woohoo! Would have picked it up today but I wasn't going to drive it with summer tires in the snow (It's coming on a set of Potenzas on 19"s).

Good choice, not picking her up today!
By the sounds of it, it's kind of iffy the rest of the week too.
Are you going to be driving it over the winter?
If so you'll definitely need snows right away.

Yeah I've been digging around and there are recommendations for the Blizzak WS-60. Quoted for a WS-60 225/55/17 at a local tireshop (Tiremag on Keele & Hwy 7) and it was $199 there Originally Posted by InTgr8r

.Also found out my old 17" summer tire rims that I was thinking of using for winter tires won't fit on the G cause its a 5x100 bolt pattern, so I'm going to cheap out and get steels. To state the obvious, expensive cares are expensive.

Good advice, you should be able to get some stock 17s or similar for the same or less than steelies.

Heya folks!
New '05 OB Coupe owner here in the West-end. I've only had my baby for two weeks but I've really gotta say that I LOVE this car and I'm really looking forward to putting some quality time and effort into her! I know it's not much of a mod but my PA11-NIS just got delivered this afternoon
so it's a start.
I'm really glad I found this site and I'm going to try to make it to the meet in May.
