Anyone Check This Out Yet!

Since we all drive rocketships has anyone been to Toronto to check out the full scale Avro Arrow replica. I'm heading down this summer to be awed and snap some pics. I have been in love with the Arrow since I was a kid. Anyone else share the passion.

The music was great too.

Politics did the kill the Arrow from ever going into production. There are several good books out there about the Arrow story and the CBC movie. I personally feel wounded whenever I think about the Arrow. I have never been able to lose that wounded feeling and I wasn't even born at the time. It's strange.
Glad you liked the clip Deane-aka RBull.

I noticed Artwork of Canada's current jet fighter the CF18 Hornet beside the Avro in InTgr8r's video. Here is a pic taken of the CF18 and the Arrow Replica.

You don't want to know my thoughts on Diefenbaker. My comments would be nasty and shocking.

My last post. I promise. This is the G forum.

I read the Arrow story to my 10 year old aviation fanatic son. All I can say is it's a good thing Dief's already dead...

I would definitely like to get out to T.O. to see the replica. The fella who runs a local hobby store is one of the foremost Arrow experts and built some of the models used in the (not very accurate) movie. What a magnificent machine and achievement that would have been. Instead we got the faulty Bomarcs and some used Voodoos with less than half the capability of the Arrow...for more money!!
