squeeking noise?
I recently changed from my winters to OEM coupe 19s and i been noticing this squeeking noise while im driving most likely cause of the rims. What do you think it might be?
i bet the tires and rims are squeaking because they know you put them on too early, and they want off now! environment canada is calling for a cold start to april, the first week will be nice and wet with temperatures not peaking above 6!!! i scratch my head at people who have gone ahead with their setups already!

lol i dont know i changed the brakes a long time ago. The noise sometimes will not be there then i go off a bump or tap the brakes it will appear. It sounds like something is turning and its rubbing to make that squeeking noise. Yesterday i didnt hear it once so i hope this problem just goes away by itself.

When I replaced my brakes last time, I left that piece out.

it's called a 'brake wear indicator'
it's a little metal clip/tab that will contact your rotor and make a screeching noise so that you know your pads need changing. As your pad wears down, it will get closer and closer to this clip/tab until it wears down enough to make contact with it and screetch/squeal.
i haven't seen the G's pads yet but every other car I had, this clip was embedded the pad (couldn't be removed). They do have removable clip-on tabs as well for some pads, and those tabs should come with your new pads.
many higher end cars have this indicator connected to an el.circuit that when contact is made with the tab, you'll get a light on the dash.
On that note, does anyone know if the G has this option (does a light on the dash tell you when your brakes need servicing)?
