TPMS oddity

I've had my winters on since October and they do not have a TMPS sender in them. The light on my dash did not come on at all over the winter and then yesterday, blinky, blinky! It's on. My driving patterns/distance hasn't changed.

Thoughts?

It's almost safe to put the summers back on. Of course, now that I said that the forecast will change.

If you drive with no sensors the light will generally come on only if you drive more than 40 minutes at highway speeds.

If you have no TPMS installed, the light will come on after 40KM of continuous driving.

On my Altima the light comes on immediately and stays on. In the spring when I put the summer wheels on I have to get it reset at the dealer to read it properly.

I enjoy the fact that I do not have TPMS at all

No lights on my dash besides vdc-off.

Don't ask me, car came that way for me. I know my winters did not have TPMS and had no trouble all winter. My only thought is that it was disabled somewhere down the line of the previous owners.

Maybe you guys just need to drive on a long trip for it to come up because mine rarely comes on but it did a couple of times.

That is my point. I've driven the same distance from home to work, from work to home, from home to the soccer centre, and back. Now suddenly it comes on.

And by the way, has been on ever since, right as soon as I start the car.

The space saver doesn't have a TPMS monitor in it, does it?

Here we go...

After reading many forms here is my deal...
Bought a 2005 G35 coupe that had new 225/40-19 Kumhos on all wheels...GM dealership......
after driving 45 min at 75 mph tire TPMS lights up which is understandable..I guess
IF I switch to 255/40-19 on rear will it still have problems?

(make sure your diameter is no more than 3% off or you're VDC will have issues)
I read this before.... I'm at 2.4% now?

Here is the diff:

http://www.miata.net/cgi-bin/tirescgi

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/40-19 3.9in 13.4in 26.7in 83.9in 755 0.0%
225/40-19 3.5in 13.0in 26.1in 82.0in 773 -2.4%

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/40-19 3.9in 13.4in 26.7in 83.9in 755 0.0%
255/40-19 4.0in 13.5in 27.0in 84.9in 746 1.2%

Thanks to anyone that has an answer!

Mine only comes on when I drive to Timmins, after a few hours of driving. If you stop to get gas when you turn the car on again the light is off.

That light does nothing except tell lazy people that they need air. True car people would check air pressure weekly or whenever they fuel up.
