excellent point. that's a huge factor. a well maintained ride will last a loooong time. buying a used car that is out of warranty is always a bit of a gamble, and one with higher-than-normal mileage is just increasing the odds of spending money on repairs. of course the flipside is that the car was well taken care of and it could be a good deal. again, a thorough inspection is the best indication of the condition...

Yeah, I agree too. You know how the car has been driven, what's been done and not done etc.

I'm good, this is where I turned to hide when I left SON for awhile
You should setup as a vendor here and on my350z though, we have way more expensive tires than 240 guys, and are generally more interested in getting them for cheaper.

I looked for 6MT sedan for about 4 months, gave up and wound with an '08 (not that I'm complaining).
Hope you have better luck than I did, will need some patience and perseverance.

Aah, some background information, duckJAI runs a company called GBTires, and I know him from back when I had a 240SX. I was telling him that he should expand onto here and my350z, as there's a definite need for more affordable tires with these cars.

hmmm, i hope i come across a "desperate" 6mt sedan buyer when i go to sell my ride, the 6mt's can be difficult to find. i believe ~5% of sedans were 6mt.

Hang in there guy - nice 6MT Sedans are tough to find. Took me a few months before I settled on one. It's a 2004 and I bought it last Christmas for 13,500 with 85,000 kms. I was lucky enough to track down the previous owner who returned it to the dealership after the lease, and found out all the little problems with it. Immediately brought it to Vic Simone and dropped another $3000 for clutch, intake, exhaust, plugs, filters, fluids, etc, etc. Therefore I basically paid 16,500 in the end, however I ended up with the vehicle I wanted, and now I know where I stand with respect to servicing. Be patient - there are folks out there with used 6MT sedans looking to trade up. Don't bother wasting your time in the USA either. The used market in the GTA is very competitive with used car markets in the states. Unfortunately the same can't be said for new cars - if you're in the market for a new one, you'll definitely save bucks by purchasing in the states.

Stay in Canada...

I agree---no point in going to the States to try and find a deal any more. Prices have equalized between Canada and the US now. I ended up going to Arizona for my 05 Ivory Pearl 6MT sedan when the exchange rate favoured our Loonie at $1.10. Saved myself a bundle on a sweet ride that ended up being exactly what I wanted. But, it's nearly 2 years later, and the laws of economics would have me looking closer to home now. To the other guys points, hold out for a lower mileage unit, or if you're really set on this one, negotiate a price below or at $10K---I bet you the dealer would bite. Good Luck.

Ironring.
