Rim powdercoating option
hey, was looking to get my rims powder coated. For thoose of you that dont no i have a twilight blue coupe with a blacked out grill. Plans for the future include tinted tails, window tints and hopefully a lot of carbon fibre lol. Should i get the rims coated black or should they be a darkish gold/bronze since that colour looks nice with twilight blue. Kind of like the colour of gold/bronze volks. I got oem 18's

yes it is. I've pc'd two sets. The wheels are forged so outgassing will not be as big of an issue as a cast wheel. More importantly, and I think the direction you are headed, the oven temp during a typical powder coating operation should not be more than 400°F and should be about 20-30 minutes. This is well below the temperature and time required to change the grain structure of the aluminum.
If you are going to powder coat the wheels then make sure you get a clear powder finish. It's well worth the extra ~$20 per wheel.
