Thanks for all the links and all...

I know of Thilan...he removed some small dings in my car a couple of years ago. He does great work.

As far as I can see, its only on the hood. I'll have to get out in the sun tomorrow for a closer look.
My dads car got nailed as well.

It must have came down for about 10 minutes. Mom and dad said they don't remember so much hail at one time.

Stclairwest, I'm near Fairview Mall( DVP and Sheppard).

A co-worker left me a note saying he got nailed too at the office today( Allen Rd and Lawrence area)...

the hail woke me up.... glad i have underground garage! sorry to hear about your car man. last summer hail hit my car and i hid under a gas station where a bmw driver drove up to block me from hiding under wat i thought it was the last spot ... so i went around and a G35 sedan moved to make room for me i saw that the bmw blocked that spot for another bmw that was behind me.... both were 3 series the one that blocked me 325i sedan and the one behind me 335i coupe. i liked the fact that the G showed love and bmw hate as always at least towards me

My G got NAILED too. I'm at Bathurst/Eglinton area and the entire hood and trunk have little dings in them. The driver's side front quarter panel also got some dings. THIS SUCKS! I just had the bumper repainted from the winter scrapes and now it looks like the whole car needs to be worked on.

Anyone else ever put this type of claim through insurance -- is this under 'comprehensive' coverage and do premiums go up from a claim of this kind?

Do they have to repaint the car when they take out these dings? Trying to figure out whether it's worse to have a car that looks like it has the chicken pox or to drive a fully repainted car!

I was actually out walking when the hail started coming down and it hurt like hell -- like a close range paintball shot. My first idiot move was to seek cover under a tree -- soon realizing that I probably could get hit by lightening so then I just ran for cover under a nearby porch. Crazy weather.

Bill --> are you claiming this on your insurance?

It was insane, luckily my cousin warned me about the hail as it hit his area (Scarborough) before making its way to mine (Markham). I quickly parked my car into the garage. When I got to his area, 20 minutes after the hail the leftover hail was still the size of small marbles!

Hey Brad,

They do not have to repaint the car to take out the dings. Paintless dent removal is exactly that. By the time they are done with your ride there will be no evidence of the hail damage left.

Give my contact at Dent Express a shout and he'll be able to set you up for an estimate. The last time my car got damaged by hail, I was quoted a bit over $600, my deductable is $500 so not worth the insurance claim.

Hope this helps,
Gordon

Thanks for this Gordon. I'll call Thilan Monday morning and see about getting an estimate.

damn!! i got 3 dings on my hood but not from the hail (which i must've missed since I had no clue of it whatsoever... ) the dings were from a previous storm when debris hit against the car ...

I also recently got a ding on the door.. which after some investigation / picture comparing... was caused at the cambridge meet!! :@ .. i'm sooo upset... i can't believe.. someone from the meet would've opened their door against my car like that when they clearly should've known better..

it was from the black jeep/suv beside me on the driver side... some black paint a ding is on the G.. didn't notice it right away due to the rain... after cleaning the car.. i noticed it..

I first thought, it might've been from yorkdale mall (since i went there right after) but i parked my car on the last spot to the left.. so no parking on the driver side...

i didn't know they had dent removal .. i usually thought i had to get the door/hood repainted.. THANKS 4 the contact info!! i'm going to call Thilan on thursday as I will be getting my Inven installed tom (hopefully)

i just did 2 estimates on pontiac montanas (5k/3k) damage from hail. both roofs had over 50 dings. Both roofs have to be cut and welded back into place with new replacements. insurance ftw?

^ i didnt get pics, and it was a preliminary estimate. Honestly you wouldnt even notice the dents from far away, but once you see the car close up esp during sunlight you just see tons of em.
