We got to the beach around 12:30. I waved to an FX from my black coupe, but don't know if that was you

That was us, I waved back, you were going the opposite way. We were cruising back and forth at that time and left about an 1 1/2 after that.

Looking forward to meeting.

I have just as good a beach in my back yard (as a few of the guys here can attest to , from past meetings on my turf ).

I just wish I could have met up with whoever came up here.
I haven't read the rest of the thread so didn't know about that. We don't have any meets on the East Coast so I don't worry about missing any of them.

Well I am disappointed. My daughter and I headed into Grand Bend (from our mini vacation in Bayfield) arriving just before 11 and we couldn't find anyone. I felt bad because I thought I was late and wouldn't be able to park with everyone. Last I checked on here everyone was departing Sunrise around 9am so I figured you would all be there by 10:30/11.
Oh well, we just went back to Bayfield and relaxed at our beach for the day and I sat in the lake sipping a Stella. All was not lost.
I hope to see some pic of nice G later.

Shoot Wayne, we must have just missed you. You probably drove right past us in Bayfield. We were staying at my friends there. Its 4acres mixed open space/forest with their cottage and private beach straight across from the golf coarse.

Heck thats too bad we missed each other Paul, I think I drove past the golf course around 4 times. We were parked for an hour at the Municipal Parking lot near the Police Station also. Then we parked on the river road by the Town Boat launch and had our picnic.

I was like you, I was expecting everyone there around 11-11:30. We sat on the main drag on a bench watching for a convoy of G35s, which never appeared.

We will have to get together soon (maybe after I get my new wheels and tires. )

^ +1
I spent a lot of time and money between Gillies and the Bruce back in the day. It would be fun to hang there for an afternoon or maybe even longer if the weather is right!
The lake was 72 degrees in Bayfield Fri-Sun. Just beautiful!

We could do a Kincardine Meet again. I can guarantee one thing. Everyone will meet up, there where be no one left out.

Here is a thread with pics of one I organized a couple of years ago in Kincardine: https://g35driver.com/forums/canada/156147-kincardine-area-meet-june-16th-6.html

InTgr8r and his better half came up to Kincardine last month and we did a 2 day cruise up the Bruce Peninsula which was a lot of fun.

We must also remember the C7 Fall Cruise will be coming up in another month or so which is always fun.

I think its pretty disappointing that every time we have a meet in the west end most of the T.O guys say there gonna make the trip then bail last min. I'm starting to lose interest in the T.O meets mainly because if no effort is made to come west than no effort should be made by us to go east.
Now before the comments start pouring in I didn't say all I said MOST.

My two cents worth.
You sure do Wayne and that last meet there was fantastic. Parking, beach, sun, boardwalk, food, "G's" beers, smoked fish and most importantly ...... an OF who "planned and communicated that plan to others." Age and experience eh, what a combo.

In reading Roy's post and feeling the sense of frustration by others, I feel that the "communication piece " was not up to previous (OF) standards.
Seems that there were enough G drivers out and about to make a good meet, but things got SNAFU'ed as there was no Grand Bend point person.
I can recall at least two meets in our area ( three if you count last years Rib Fest) held out by Sportsworld that were well attended. The last one for the charity Car wash had DelVlon head up all by himself, as did Bill. Roy, his brother and I were local so it was no big deal.
I've gotta hand it to 4DGS AND EYZ for trying to organize the timing and for Johnny and Blain for following through with the timeline. BTW I really enjoyed my short sprint with the two of you on #8. Good thing the Officer was already busy .
All I can say is if there is a meet and I have the time I will be there no matter where it is or how far, mostly because I love to drive the "G" and hang with you guys.
Let's make this a learning experience and always have a time and place to meet before entering an UNKNOWN area.
Hopefully I'll see you all at the next one. Might even be able to make the next Yorkdale one, or one a little further west. Legendary Car Museum anyone?

Maybe there should be a sticky for setting up meets with a checklist of what it takes to have a successful ( no one PO'd or disappointed ) meet.
