My car smelt BADDDDD when i bought it. You need to borrow or by a air purifier and leave it on in the car for about a day. I was told to do so by my neighbour (engineer at jag) and he said that is what they do with all the jags that come into the dealership. It kills every smell. Worked amazing. I couldnt stand my car when i bought it.

BTW, thhoooseee rims look SEXY

I heard of this thing called an 'interior bomb' that is supposed to work wonders, especially on cars owned by smokers. A detailer should know the proper name, anyone help out on this?

Air purifier, interior bomb.... Keep it coming guys. On my way to work, I'm gonna check these out and make an order asap. I rather kill the odoue then to disguise it so, I think I'm gonna look into an air purifier and get myself a new air cabin filter.

Any good dealers in Toronto that have experience with lowered cars? I might just get the filter at the dealership and install it myself.

Pacificmall has some great air purifiers.

I just replaced my cabin filter myself. It is really easy, just take out a few screws drop the glove box and there it is. i actually paid a bit more and got a carbon activated one (much better than stock). It made a huge difference, you can't even smell smoke in the car anymore (my wife and I had previously smoked alot in the car)

Since the seat is perforated I bet some of his man stink crept under the leather and comes out. I say you scrub the **** out of your seats, between that and a carbon air filter you should be able to get rid of it without having to hide it

Dead animal (rat/squirrel) inside your cabin air filter? somewhere underneath your hood?

There may be a physical piece of matter, be it a dead rodent or something else that only smells when the atmosphere is right.

I feel you on a fowl smelling car - its one of my worst peeves. Recently a skunk sprayed the underside of my car - within seconds the interior reeked, and it was so bad that I smelled like I was sprayed too. I had to changed my clothes and take a shower. My car continued to smell for a week or so. I cleaned the interior, bought a new air freshner and febreezed the hell out of it, and it eventually went away.

A can of baking soda placed on the floor can absorb fowl smells. Also the right mix of vinegar/water/baking soda, sprayed on the interior can also help get rid of smells.

Check out Autopia detailing forum & search for cleaning 'bio odor' (or similar)

anything that can generate bacterial growth (spilled milk, coffee with cream, etc)
can be extremely difficult w/o the right proceedure.

Leather or cloth? If you have cloth seats get the arm and hammer baking soda made for pets. It gets rid of urine and poop smells. Sprinkle it all over the cloth and all over the carpet. come back in about 20 minutes and vacuum it all up.

the box says, arm and hammer odour eliminator, for carpet and room, for smoke mildow mold food spills and pet odor.

I used this on my maxima's rugs a few weeks ago because I had a slight gasoline smell from changing the fuel filter and there was a second smell because some rustproofing oil leaked off my new tranny and got soaked up in my trunk mat. Car smells nice and fresh now.
