I've a problem with my 2003 G35. The Auto AC starts automatically.
I dont know whats going on here. Car starts normaly but as I drive for 10, 15 minutes AC starts itself and set to Auto. Then the lights on control panel switched of and I have no control whatsoever.

Please help as its very frustrating.

 

It's your Audio curcuit board. This board controls both the HVAC system and radio. Very expense to replace it new from the dealer. What I did, I found another user that upgraded their stereo and I purchased the Bose unit with the controls from them.

You can also check the junk yards, they might have it.

 

^^ Truth. Had mine replaced at the dealer with a refurb unit for around $500. If you want to take the time and trouble to find one and DIY, you can save yourself some dough.

Do a search it's very common for the 2003-2004, I went through a whole bunch of options before finally giving in and upgrading to double din, however I'm really like my dnx8120 now.

I have been there before and its going to get worst. If you are in the GTA you are in luck! Take it back to the manufacturer CLARION.. they are located @ 2239 Winston Park Drive, Oakville, ON L6H 5R1‎ - (905) 829-4600‎. Just tell them that your AC is out and the radio is not working as well.. They will have it repaired anywhere from $180 - $250 depending on the issue. That's what the Infiniti dealership does in the same situation and then charge you an arm and a leg. Get it taken care of now.. before winter comes as I am sure you do not want cold air blowing during that time. There is no other cost effective way to have this issue resolved. Or you can go with the JDM Double Din Kit which allows you to upgrade your audio system and have gps, dvd, cd etc.. and you never have to worry about this issue occurring again.

^^ Interesting. Infiniti claims their cost is $375 for the refurb unit, plus labour to replace the old one, of course. Got any documentation that says Clarion only charges $180-250?

 

Sorry don't have the receipt, you can give Clarion a call at the number listed above.. and ask for a quote over the phone. Pretty sure they will give you the same price
