Turbo fitment on a G35
I was wondering if there are any local (Edmonton) guys that would be interested in a single turbo kit. I built one last winter for my 350z and it has been running for 7000km's trouble free.
Basically I would like to see if it would fit a G35. This wouldn't happen for a couple of months, but I am just trying to get a couple of things organized.
Here are a couple of pics of my setup:
Engine bay looks very much stock:

Turbo is under the car, and does sit high up there:

Driver side:

Fabed up piping:

I made 320whp with only 5psi. I am waaaay out of the comressor efficiency range so that is also a contributing factor. Last nigh I went out to do some tuning with 8psi but the boost conroller (electronic, controled by Haltech) wasn't working properly.
I will have to trouble shoot that right away. Other than that the car feels really stron and I get full boost by 3200rpm.

The STS systems are lagy compared to this, and to get some decent performance, you need to do a couple of WOT runs to get the turbo turbine warmed up. Not to mention that most STS guys end up having to wrap the entire exaust to keep heat in.
I hope that answers your qustion.

For local guys it would be about $5000 installed. This includes injectors and fuel pump. Basically everything that would come with any other kit out there, except EMS. There are so many EMS options out there so I didn't really want to throw anything in there. Used UTEC's can be bought for $500 now, and I think that would be the best option for anybody that would be interested in this.
Keep in mind that an install of any ST kit will cost you about $1500, unless you do it youself. Again, this is with all brand name qulity parts, stainless exhaust, stainless V-band, stainless T-bolt clamps, stainless flex pipes, 4ply silicone couplers.. ect...
This setup is good for 450whp, and with a larger intercooler the turbo is capable of 550+whp
