Question '07 G35X Remote Starter in Calgary

Hey guys, looking to get a remote starter/alarm combo installed in the G. Just wondering if you guys knew how it would affect warranty? Ken is outta the office till next week so I thought I'd throw it out to you guys.

Also, looking to get the Compustart Pro 2-way alarm/starter with the temp sensor and voltage monitor (don't have exact model #, but its the new one that just came out with the black remote with color LCD display). Does anyone have any experience with an installer in Calgary?? Future Shop and Best Buy won't touch the G35's with the push button start. I've been reading up on beyond and it seems like Autotech seems like a good, reputable place; apparently they do a lot of work for a Lexus dealer on their new cars.

Any tips appreciated. Has anyone else had a starter installed in their 07+ G? how much did you pay?

Thanks

I haven't had one installed on my G yet but in the past I have had remote starters installed on two of my previous vehicles at Quinn Security up by Deerfoot Mall. The are professional and I never had any issues with the install or products.

I have heard nothing good coming out of Quinn, their alarm systems are no name garbage and they will rip you off on the installation. Also they give away coupons at autoshows for an alarm system contest, everyone who enters the contest is a winner LOL, if you do a search on google you will see they have a bad reputation for cheap alarm systems, and really bad customer service.

^^ Over 2000 miles from Calgary, it would have to be a great deal, LOL!

No advice for you Jack except NOT Soundsaround, they effed up the install on my previous car, can't imagine what they'd do to a push-button start.

Thanks for all the tips everyone...I did a bit of research and talked to Ken at Hyatt. Seems like all the Inifiniti and Nissan dealerships (push button system basically the same) use a guy named Sam.
After talking with Sam he recommended a simple starter system (Clifford Responder One) rather than the Compustar 9000 starter/alarm combo...basically the more gadgets the greater the chances of something f'n up (makes sense, but all the gadgets made the Compustar seem soo cool!). What Visions told me would be a 6 hour job "because of where the wiring harness is located" Sam installed and was on his way in an hour and a half (yes, he came out to my place and installed it, he offers a mobile service or you can take it into his shop). Sam offers to work with your dealership and uninstall the starter if your dealership says whatever problem your dealing with maybe caused by the starter, and if the dealership says any damages are due to the starter and voids factory warranty, Sam has insurance to cover you.
So far the starter has been working out great, no complaints from the wife (she STOLE the G from me )
