First GTA Snowfall....

It's inevitable... no matter what precautions you take, how much earlier you leave, you still have to deal with SH**TY drivers....

Do use all a favor... Get snow tires, and drive in the slow lane if you want to do 20km/h...

Lol no slow lane on some roads this morning. Well... if I had my 4wd Matrix... the slow lane which is snow covered would be my fast lane.

What is inexcusable though is FWD cars being stuck in spots where I can make it... and some of them with snow tires too. And all I see is the retards flooring thinking it will get them going.

It was a fun drive this morning.
It's the same every year though with the first snowy morning.

We are supposed to get hit with another 15cms of snow later today and tonight. Then it's supposed to turn to rain after midnight! Yay!

Thats exactly what it's doing here. Heck I don't really mind the snow, it's the damn rain on top of the snow that irks me. It will be much better when the temps drop a few degrees then at least we will have snow instead of slush.

lol I feel ya Shawn so many crappy drivers out there almost got hit this morning making a left turn, the minivan driver finally came to stop in the middle of the intersection gave him a dissapointing look and lip sync'd "go get winter tires"

I cringe everytime when coming to a stop and worrying about the driver behind me

I hear you on that. Not always possible, but if I know I'll be coming to a stop no matter what, I'll start braking very lightly from a far distance just so it causes the one behind to do the same. Same thing goes if it's a tailgater on dry roads... I'll start braking earlier than needed (not to **** off an1, it just prepares them).

Same happened here, Shane. I expect you'll get the same as we did:
Snow, freezing rain, then rain. (tho only a few centimeters of snow and heavy rain)
Not sure how cold it will get later tho. The forecast is for more snow.

G/L and stay safe everyone.

C.

related to this snow fall.....

My daughter was home from school this week.
Last night I told her she had to get her snows on before going back
& that I'd give her a hand when I got home.

Well, I arrived home to find that she had done them all on her own.

^good stuff!

We're forecast for about 5-7 cms tonight before turning to rain and warming up to +9. The last 30 minutes of my run tonight was with a fair bit of fine snow driving down into my face because of the wind. We're supposed to have a big blow tonight to go along with all this creating winds of 100 km.

Wayne, I'll take all the rain you can send our way to take that white stuff away!!

Too bad we can't. Both Karen and I love going for a drive after a fresh snowfall. We often will pack a lunch and hit the back roads for half the day.

Your forecast looks better than ours Deane. Environment Canada is now calling for up to 25cms of snow, followed by freezing rain, rain, and winds up to 80 kms/hr.

Why go to the Caribbean when you got such beautiful weather here?
