Little update:

I decided to quit being a little b1tch and rebuild the car i have worked everyday since September 20th and I hope to go till December 20th or the 28th if no one can cover christmas for me. So after 3 months with no days off i hope to have the funds to buy a new short block if need be. The rad had two small pin holes that the AC condensor rubbed in it, I got those repaired this week, one of my custom down pipes had a crack I discovered when i took off the header wrap so i had Anthony @ Lightspeed weld it up for today and the Ceramic coater just stopped by my house and picked up my turbo manifolds, a couple cold air pipes that are near the manifolds and my down pipes. Hopefully tomorrow I get the time to get the heads off the block and see what the issue is, the goal this time is to build it better than last time there are a few things I wished I did this round I have time on my side. I wanted to paint the engine bay while the engine is out but I don't think it will happen as i don't want to get too carried way spending $$$ this time around. I also had plans to do all pie cut stainless piping (Anthoney at Lightspeed does the sickest pie cuts) I am not sure how the stainless will match up with all of the polished aluminum....the pie cuts would be crazy though that will be a last minute decision depending if a new short block will be needed or not.

Whats it costing you to sleeve and re-sleeve blocks as oppose to buying a cosworth or something warranty to a certain boost level, if any? Not looking for numbers of course, but wondering if you've looked into it... Have Cosworth and the like blocks seen good success?

Good luck with what you find when the heads come off. Keep up the good work. You're a patient man!

Great news Gord. Let me know if you need anything welded (it's free).

Is this what you mean by "pie cuts"? :

If so, I would stay away.

Thanks Sasha, Similar to those pictures, Anthony at Lightspeed does an unreal job I told him i wanted them and he started practicing now i see him doing a few customers cars and it looks amazing i should have taken pictures of the twin turbo Toyota Solara he did it was impressive. It only looks good on stainless the aluminum just dosent look as good.

Like this just not titanium (out of my price range)

Looks great, but that is a **** load of work. What does he cut the stuff with? I assume some sort of a band saw setup?

I bought Lightspeed a band saw for them allowing me to use the shop to do my engine swap. It is a ton of work i think he enjoys it though or maybe the finished product he likes We have discussed it for quite sometime and he wants to do it, but I am still not sure how it would go with polished aluminum and stainless steel and if he puts that much time into i won't be able to walk away from it if I don't like it at least not walk away and still feel good about it.
