... and a BTW: the TPMS has yet to throw the error light. After nearly a full week of driving.

TPMS light came on last night. 2 full weeks of driving before they figured out the sensors didn't match the body electronics. Now that gives me a warm feeling about their effectiveness...

My TPMS comes on randomly with my Volks. The TPMS worked perfectly with my OEM wheels though. When I hit a pothole and it cut through my tire, the TPMS came on within a minute.

I think I'm putting on the winters soon, it hit 0 on my way home from work yesterday

Not sure if I want to put on my winters yet. I have the Nokian WR G2 ... put on about 10k km last winter (a lot of 401 driving). I burned off about 1/2 the tread (6/32" left) in the rears but much more (9/32") on the fronts. Will definitely rotate the tires this winter (all 4 are 235/50/18).

I think I'll throw on my winter set of tires/rims around Hallowe'en. Even though it's been fairly chilly in the mornings, my summers don't feel that slippery, even at the beginning. Then again ... I must be subconsciously driving slowly until the tires warm up for adequate grip.

Parked my G for the winter today in storage. Looks like five months of the winter beater!

I'm keeping a close eye on the weather for the rest of this week. I'm driving to Hamilton with my two sons for the football game on Saturday and don't want trouble.
I'd rather wait 2 0r 3 more weeks, but if it looks dicey I'll switch 'em one night this week.

Speaking of winter, anybody else with the 07+ x or sedan notice that every time you drive any distance in slush or heavy snow it builds up somewhere in the driveline and makes the car sound like it has solid motor mounts?
