They recommend having Sport Shocks (red tubes) for anything up to 1" drop. Anything greater than that, you should look at getting new shocks with the springs. As well, you would need a 4wheel alignment. If you do more than a 1" drop, you'll probably want to get camber kits to save your tires as well.

^ +1. get the shocks if you can, otherwise just the springs won't kill you. you must get an alignment, but wait a week or so in order for everything to settle.

when i did my drop i bought the non-reusable nuts & hardware from a nissan dealer, i think this was about $12.

plan on about 4 hrs for a complete swap, but i suggest a spring compressor for the job.

I'd recommend shocks, might as well replace them now than spend 2x the amount of time when your shocks are blown within the year (could be sooner or later).

Alignment is done at a shop. It's a service job not a part.

??? what do you mean?

an alignment is a process that basically resets your suspension setup to within acceptable tolerances to prevent excessive tire wear or unsafe handling dynamics.

you need to take it to a shop that does suspension work. plan on ~$100 for labour.

google it to learn more.

Assuming you're going to need a shop to install the springs as well. You're looking at probably $250 labour on the install.

Welcome to the world of modding...its only money afterall..

You start with one idea and then you find out that you have to have other things done also.

Springs...get used
You will most likely need a camber kit for the rear..you will see after the alignment is done...
Shocks...be prepared to change them out. I had the red ones but changed them this year( after 5 years of being lowered...car is 7 years old now)
End links...they wear out too
Upper shock mounts...possibility of them being seized...common with the G

Good luck...

Find someone with basic mechanical skills to help you with the install and save enough $$ to pay for an alignment at a shop.
