Is it possible for Bose to create a bad product???

Well, I was looking for headphones at bestbuy over the weekend and couldnt decide which ones to get.

When I got home I started doing some research, and came across a set of Bud earphones manufactuered by Bose. Currently Bestbuy has these on sale at $99 dollars. A bit expensive for earphones, and Im not a fan of buds, but the DJ style Bose headphones were about $229 or something completely off the wall considering Im only using headphones during work hours.

I purchased the buds and I must say, these are the clearest headphones Ive ever had. Reminds me of the G before i torn out the original deck, but even better! They are shaped differently, which doesnt make them feel like buds at all. The shape allows the music to be directed deep into the ear.

Bass is as if youre standing in the middle of a high end club, except the bass is shape, not rattles.

By far a great invest. I would recommend this product!

Has anybody tried the Bose TV surround systems available? I see them advertised for like 2 grand. They must be amazing....

Shawn I have the ear buds also and by far money well spent, I use them daily at work and would not trade them up.

The only way they could make these better, is if they integrated Panasonics VMSS Brainshaker design on the old shockwave headphones... Im probably dating people here, but these were the headphones that came with the shockwave discmans, that wrapped around the back of your head and had a pulser that pulsed to the beat of the base on your neck... Panasonc has discontinued this product haha in like 2003, as I called them last week looking for a set. I have a set but the wire for the bud broke. I remember paying $130 bucks for those things back in 2000....

Of course bose makes a bad product...just about every car audio product made by bose sucks! They should stick to home audio where they actually know what they are doing.

If you want REALLY good headphones, leave BOSE alone and get Sennheiser, also sold at Future Shop/Best Buy

Yes it's possible, most of their tower speakers suck. Ever heard someone say, no highs no lows it must be bose? Their headphones, particularly their noise canceling, are pretty good. Sennheiser and Shure also make good buds.

The lifestyle systems are far from audiophile quality, because audiophiles aren't their target market. The system doesn't do justice to a lot of good music, but given their small foot print they can really make a movie more impressive. A lot of the specs in that review are meaningless to the average consumer, at the end of the day most people just want it to sound good. When I worked at futureshop, we sold a lot of the lifestyle 28 system and rarely had a disappointed customer.

i had the in ear bose but now upgraded to the dr dre beats. Grabbed them for 2 bills and love them. I have the bose acoustimass 16. Its 6.1 and i took the center channel out and got the larger bose center channel. I also added in another normal dual cube to make it 7.1 allll running through a Harman Kardon reicever. I also got a 1080p projector on a 100" screen and i love life LMAO. The speaker quality is amazing and the sub hits hard to. The basement isnt built yet so im guessing when its acoustically built itsll sound even better.

Yeah, I 've got the beats from dre and they rock. The best bass response I ever heard from ear buds. Plus they are sick looking but expensive.

99% of bose products are terrible.

No highs, no lows, must be bose.

I lurk mostly. This is still the only forum I read, though I'm not sure why given that I don't read any G related threads (other than picture threads). I tried the acura forums for a couple days but they just aren't driver.

IIRC I was in Toronto during both of the meets this year. Isn't showing up in a honda worse than showing up in a truck?

Hey guys... Not an audiophile per se but I have had my ear to the ground regarding upgrading the bose speakers in my G. Apparently the speaker technology is developed by Bose but manufactured by Clarion. I guess that might explain some of the low end (or lack thereof) products stuck in many of our vehicles.

In fairness- probably good enough to cover up road noise but I wouldn't be wanting to take myself too seriously with those things cranked up.
