As well as a massive step back in technology.

it sounds like Flavor Flav is shooting the video.

kind of a bonehead conversion if you ask me, but different strokes for different folks...i guess that's one way of getting a big turbo under the hood.

Although I do like any tried and proven bulletproof powerplant, it seems like a step sideways at best. A built VQ can do most of what an RB26 can for a lot less effort.

I would say its a step back. The VQ35 has been tried and proven many times with several people on this site alone in the +500whp club not to mention the 350Z guys. No engine is bullet proof unless you get a RB26 Nur spec or R34 motor the earlier ones are very prone to oil pump failure so they pretty much need a rebuild before I would trust putting them in anything. Stock VQ35s will easily make 400whp by bolting on turbos it will have more torque and less lag than a 400whp RB26. Its also easier and much cheaper to bolt turbos to a VQ35 than to swap in a RB26 and you would need upgraded turbo(s) plus alot of custom wiring. A built VQ can put down over 1000whp so there is no point to swap out to an old technology motor other than to be the guy with an RB26 in his G35. It might be a cool swap but if your think you will gain performance I think the cost would highly outweigh any advantages it has.

The front bumper does seem like its a whole other red, but i have to say that i like the GT-R body kit. Theres an IP coupe around here with the GT-R bumper and it looks great in person. Don't like the wheels though...

You could have made your point in a much nicer way, looks like you want to be a douche....well good thats my specialty. Your specialty however appears to be FAILING.

First off its Hooked on PHONICS in you defense it was a nice try but if you mouth off make sure you don't end up looking like a total tool.

Second you said the RB26 is proven to be bullet proof, when in actual fact they very prone to failed oil pumps unless they are rebuilt with a late model oil pump.

We do however agree its a pointless swap as the VQ is very capable itself.

Since you tried calling me out he is one just to prove without a doubt you MEGA FAIL. You don't even know how to spell INFINITI and you own one talk about Hooked on Phonics

We might have to start making Alberta meets invite only is this is the type new members we are ending up with only room for 1 E-Thug in Alberta and I was here first

Just so its not a total thread jack OP if you are into the RB swap here is well executed one. That had me dreaming about this swap for awhile.
