Homelink setup...

Anyone here from Canada have their Homelink buttons (in the rearview mirror) setup to open a garage door? I'm having trouble with mine being recognized...

Not from Canada but I used this link to program mine. Works like a charm. Good Luck

I also found the link below in my favorites.

all 3 buttons are used up in my car too. all powering 1 door. so i can open it by pressing any button. since they are not lit up at night, i dont have to figure out which one it is.

a manual works wonders in this situation

I gotta try that because I got mine linked to the largest button just because its easier to find in the dark. I will try to program the other two buttons tomorrow. Thanks for the useful info

Just did this a couple of days ago for my other buttons.
3 doors; 3buttons it's great

with the rolling codes I find it has to be repeated several times before it takes.

...push the learn button at the motor, then push & hold the mirror button for 2 seconds.
I had to repeat three times before it registered.

Yeah, I had no problem with set up in mine. First take in this car but the coupe needed several attempts.

However I find the signal is very weak with Homelink in Infiniti's. This one and my last one often need several pushes and long hold times when I come home or leave. It's very fussy. The Homelink in my Jeep and Acura or the remote in the Mazda worked perfectly every time and from greater distance.

Interesting, I've never had any issues with my homelink. My driveway is pretty much bang on 100ft long and has always worked no problem from that distance away.

wow... mine is nowhere near that range Shane, mine is max 50'
Although in fairness, after 50' there is a hill that hides my garage a bit.

^same here.
I only use one for the car, but it's great to be able to pop the other doors sometimes.

I did mine in all 4 Nissans I have had now and I helped red35 do his car as well. I didn't read what everyone else posted so this may have been covered but I'll throw my 2cents anyway. If its a new door it likely has rolling codes and the instructions cover how to make that work I think after you have it set just go push the button on the door opener and your good to go its not hard. I am dead set against technonlogy and i did it in about 5 min.
