Good stuff Wayne.

Yeah I guess that was the first aftermarket setup I had heard on a G back in summer of '05.

There's a heck of a lot to like about the new M but exhaust sound isn't one of them. It's too tame.

+1 to that.
I have plans for that, but I'll live with it for this summer though.

Thanks for the invite over Wayne. It was a beautiful day. I'm not sure how much help I was but it was a good time; too bad I couldn't have stayed longer. Couple of sweet sounding sedans, I was jealous.

Keep in mind that Ian's car was MT and mine is AT, so it would have been easier for him to keep the revs up a little and out of the 'drone zone', which for me is about 1500-2000rpm -- putting-around-town revs if I'm not using the MM (which I do a lot). Also the remaining drone after installing the HR-Y was almost nothing, and I would have been perfectly happy to leave it that way, but since Kev and I were both curious about the results, we swapped anyway and now my car sounds better inside at lower revs while still maintaining the exterior warble at higher revs. Kevin will testify that it still sounds great.

/excuses hahaha! Maybe I'll try for a sound clip in the coming weeks.

When we put the Z mid on his car (he also has an aftermarket axle-back), we started it, looked at each other and said "quieter??". In truth it was probably about the same or a little louder but it really sweetened the exhaust note for his car. So everybody's happy!

I've heard of "Junk in da trunk" before, but ▲that's not the 1st thing that usually comes to mind.

That would be nice.

Not sure my ship will come in on that unless there's some great deals out there.

I hear you...
I always have an eye open for something but they get snapped up pretty quickly in the classifieds.
As far as new ones go, the Rouge Engineering Diablo is high on my list & reasonably priced (comparatively)

^would like to hear a few clips and anecdotal comments from others who have heard/had several different ones.

I'll be watching but it definitely won't be this year.

I'm with you there, this car wasn't exactly budgeted for this soon,
so it's austerity program 101 at the moment.

...well almost

I have this to install this weekend.
The damn thing pulls so strong right to red line that I often hit the rev limiter.
