called my insurance it turns out to be even u suspend your coverage they still charge you around 60-70 bucks for theft protections, thanks to the lady who lied to me that they were already included in my contract and i have paid for.i actually used up my credits (double payments) still 150 bucks savings + gas every month.

the thing which pissed me off the most is they are actually increasing my premiums, not much but i started out $280 per month then $214 and this year its going up to $224 , not because of tickets, actually insurance companies saying some of their costs increased so they have to bump their premiums so even i was supposed to pay less because of the increases those savings are gone., what a bunch of BS!!!

but if i get their rentors insurance i save around 50 bucks. its just frustrating, i was expecting to pay less than 200, and now its even increasing when i have no accident (knock on wood)

i have belair insurance and over 25+ years old, all i have as tickets are a 55km in a 40 zone (No point deduction) and illegal left turn (points were removed after court)

yeah, as far as i know, even if you suspend a vehicle, they will still charge you an amount every month, just a little bit.

if you're in some other insurance companies than belair, i would ask you to switch, but belair seems to have the cheapest.

all tickets except parking tickets will increase your rates one way or another.

GL though

Belair did something like that to me too. I started at 293, then it dropped to 225 after 6 months, then 4 month after that it dropped to 185. When I switched coverage to my winter car, my rates jumped back up to 220. They charge me 42 for fire/theif coverage for my beater now.

Hi Musti
Where do you live - GTA area? Have you continued to shop around?

For comparison: my wife and I pay $292/mo for home&auto with TD Meloche Monex.
-me as primary driver on 07 G35x $106/mo (I've had nothing against me in over 25years...knock wood)
-wife as primary driver on 07 Honda Ody $119/mo (she had an accident 6 years ago and 2 speeding tickets in past 3 years)
-home insurance $67 (for +2800sq.ft. home, current market value at $460k in Waterloo region)

hey thanks all for the answers, i actually called state farm to get a quote and they gave me 500 bucks haha

i live in yonge and eglinton (i actually get a discount when i moved from east because of the area has one of the least accident rate)

i have shopped around even my bank did not give me a better rate with the employee package. even b4 getting belair state farm was giving me higher rate.

i am getting charged 60-70 for fire and theft protection

i started thinking each insurance firm has different rates for infiniti )

at the end of the day i have to stay with belair, but i might go for 300-500 deductible and rentors insurance altogether will help me around 25-30 bucks savings a month. but my friend at state farm told me because of the insurance companies cost and this and that they have bumped their rates. so seems like staying where u r ise wiser these days.

the funny part was the insurance agent was a young fella looking for a 2005 g35 sedan, i told him the website even mentioned couple of features and commonly problems and gas mileage.
