As some of you that followed the Olympic threads know I am good friends with Lyndon Rush the Pilot of the Canada 1 bob sled. I picked up Lyndon Rush at the airport in Calgary tonight.
Any way I was hoping to some pictures of it with the G but we just got home and its 01:00 so here are the crappy ones i got. They were hard to get the medal is wavey so it was hard to get pictures of at night, it was pretty cool they are quite heavy he had it in his pocket but took it out to show me while waiting for his bags it got alot of attention

Joker, from what I can gather, the Bronze medals are solid copper, the Silver and Gold are plated, but I don't know the core material.

I actually LOVE the design, it's unique, was challenging to make and represents the local native culture and landscape.

I asked if I could take it to some local pubs and play it like it was mine to get free food and drinks
he said in Vancouver you couldn't wear it or you got stopped all day long by people wanting pictures with you. He also said at the air port the security guy at the metal detector was being a d1ck until his bags went through he scanner and the other guys saw the medal he said the guys tune sure changed. I said i would be waering it everywhere for the next week because after that sadly I don't think anyone will care anymore
The medal is very cool looking the matte part on the front looks like wood grain its pretty sweet!
Very Cool. I really like the looks of these medals. I was very interested in knowing what is engraved on them so thanks to you and to Lyndon for sharing.
