Dont you need a helmet for the track?

 

yeah u need a helmet for the track i guess i can rent one, i went on youtube for the track, there are some awesome videos, im sure looking at the track my brakes are going to get burned after those nice curves i wanna go back oem from my hawks anyways. hawks are good but its too soft(grips when the brake pedal is floored) , doesnt give u the confidence oem gives.

you DON'T need a helmet for the track. I've been to a few track days (love it, but get ur self some track tires) and they don't make you wear helmets. Helmets are only mandatory for convertibles. For hardtops - like all of us - they are just recommended, if you have one, bring it.

 

Hopefully I can come to this meet.. the fall one was great

 

i think C7 Performance will make you wear a helmet. After all, they are the organizers of the event.

It was required at the fall meet (the way it should be),
but I think they had a few that you could borrow/rent.

As for the helmets - Cayuga will rent them out for $10 but it will be a first come, first served basis. Not sure how many they have. With the road course I will say a helmet will need to be worn but for the drag I've been told it's not necessary. I will leave this for Brandon to decide the day of as he will be at Cayuga much earlier than me.

For the 1/4 mile these are the rules taken off of Cayuga's website.

Helmet:
Required on all vehicles 13.99et or faster. Required with ALL convertibles. On any vehicle with a roll bar installed, no matter what the speed. (0 – 10.49et helmet must be Snell 95 or newer or SFI 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, 41.2) (10.49 – 13.99 helmet must be Snell 90 or newer).
