Quote: Sorry to read that Wayne. I'm also one of the guys having the pleasure of cruising the town in the Z71.

That should be a good choice for you. Best wishes finding a good one to serve you for many years to come. You definitely need a nice one to haul the boat or the RF25SC to come!
Thanks Deane, and thats right I forgot you cruised around in it when you came to Ontario.
I think we have driven at least 1,000kms already looking for her replacement. We just returned home from another day of truck hunting..

You are right I would love to get one of those "Down East" Rosboroughs for sure, but this truck purchase will be putting the stopper on that.

Looking for a good used truck is tough. I've been noodling around myself here just to check out values. There's a surprisingly small number of them with low kms. Most have lots.

Hopefully another year or so and you can put the Rosborough back on the list.

No it's not the E-TEC, it's a 2003 250HP V6 Evinrude Ficht by Bombardier. It's a great motor.

Ah okay. Yeah great motor.

When i was working at the marine we had our first shipments of ETecs come in. Been a few years but I recall that the weight savings were unbelievable. The 90s were the same size as the old 40s. Great choice in motor either way.

Now i miss the marine...

My family has always run Evinrudes on our boats, starting with a 1960 40hp Lark. Actually not quite true, I learned to waterski behind a wooden boat with a 10hp Evi. The only engine we ever had that blew up on us was a Mercury...and forget Chrysler, unless you needed a spare anchor.

Well, I have a replacement for my beloved 1997 Z71.

I bought a 2008 Z71 today. It is a 2008 GMC Sierra Z71 Crew Cab 4x4 with the SLT Package which means most of the goodies are included such as leather, dual climate control, sunroof and so on. It also has the towing package.
I don't pick it up until this weekend since they are doing a few things to it for me and also installing vent visors on all four dours and the OEM moulded Splashguards.

Here is a quick phone pic of it (the colour in the pic does not show the true colour, it is a light silver)
