What a Dirtbag!

Yeah, literally it's a 3x3x3' bag of dirt that my wife ordered. Bet I know what I'm doing this weekend. Pretty good concept, though, it beats the hell outta buying it in 50lb bags at inflated prices to try and make a plant bed or something. You order it online, mark where you want it plunked and on what day, and presto! It arrives on a flatbed, offloaded by a guy with one of those detachable forklifts.

Horrible pic, don't know why.

10 years ago I wouldn't find the topic/thread combo funny.

Now I sort of do.

I guess I'm getting old.

reminds me of a bagster concept that Waste Management just came up with.

Basically a big **** trash bag for you to throw huge things in.

We looked into this as well.
They aren't cheap though, compared to getting a yard or two dumped onto the property.

I may end up ordering a couple for the top of a retaining wall that needs some topsoil.
Might as well let them lift the soil rather than me shoveling up hill

Aaron, I saw something like that on Dragon's Den recently (kinda like Shark Tank, if you know what that is, in fact has two of the same Dragons/Sharks)

No, it isn't exactly cheap. We did the 'dump us a load on the boulevard' deal when we made our garden.

I sure hope that isn't sitting on your driveway! How the heck are we going to work on my car with a flippin' big bag of dirt in the way! I'm sure you will have it all cleaned up by Friday night.

Haha, great idea, Ian! Hey Dave, after the "I'm an Idiot" thread, you still want me to work on your car, LOL!! Shoot me an e-mail if you can come over Sat or Sun a.m. and I'll see if any locals want to join in the fun.

Well I'm probably a lot better with a shovel then a wrench. Although, after I conquering my battery replacement last night I'm brimming with confidence.

I was just giving you a hard time Wayne; you worry about getting your yard all pretty (maybe I'll drop off some petunias for you to plant ). I'm sure with the nice weather I'll be busy with yard work too . I'll check to see if there is a plan for the weekend yet anyway.

Thanks

So Coach, does that mean if I Google Map "dirtbag", I will find your house?!

But all seriousness aside, good to hear from you, 'retahrdment' is evidently keeping you busy!

I never thought of it that way. The internet really is a cruel place.

Yes, being "retahrded" is a lot of work. It's not for sissies.
I started our master bedroom/bathroom reno in earnest about a week ago. Demo is done (both rooms gutted to the bones) and starting to rebuild. I'm the sole carpenter, plumber, electrician, mason, and sometimes I have to put on a pink polo shirt and a lisp to help choose paint and bedding colours. The whirlpool tub is late arriving, so I could be at a standstill by early next week if it doesn't show up soon.

Ambitious, but sounds like you will have a nice area when you're done and can admire your work from the bubbly comfort of the tub.

Just cause you fart in da tub doesn't mean we all do.
