Suggestions for Summer/School Year Work

Hey guys, this isn't the standard "does the JWT Pop Charger really give me 20 whp?" threads, but I've still put on my flame suit just in case. I figured I'd throw up a thread here in case anyone might have any recommendations. Long story short, I've worked at the same golf course for the better part of seven years now (working my way up to an assistant pro position), but I'm at a point in my life where I'd love to transition into something that will foster continued growth. Since I don't plan to stay in the industry for my whole life, the continued oppurtunities for advancement have become very limited, and as a result, I'm looking for something new. That probably sounds awfully existential and generally not cool, but regardless, I haven't been able to shake the feeling that it's time for a new stage of my life.
Obviously these cars are my passion, and I would love to find a way to work any employment around that, but I doubt that'll happen. A lot of my difficulty stems from the fact that I'm currently enrolled in my undergraduate studies at the U of A, so year round employment is difficult. It would be fantastic if I could find employment that allowed a full time position over the summer, with slightly fewer hours over the winter, allowing me to attend classes several days a week. I've considered alarm installs, waitering or maybe even car sales, but wanted the opinion of some fellow Canadian members. Hopefully someone on these forums could suggest a something that pays well and will help develop new skills. I know we have a number of young board members who've continued to mod their G's, so your input is what I'm looking for. Once again, I really apologize for the open ended question. I know if I read this thread, I'd definitely be shaking my head. I seem to trust you guys when it comes to mods, so maybe you could help out here too. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Aidan

No head-shaking here, Aidan, I think a lot of us go through this -- some more than once! I have no sage advice at the moment, but will give it some thought.

I fell into this predicament over my last two years of university. The first out of the last two years, I was lucky to have my employer (National Car Rental) acknowledge my studies, so they gave me 2 days a week in entry level management.

That was all cool until Enterprise stepped in and wouldn't allow me that flexibility.

Therefore I simply chose school. I dropped all work, (after saving up a good chunk of change) and concentrated on school. Couldn't be happier now as a graduate... although I'm still unemployed.

I suggest getting in good with your employers. If you make yourself an asset through your work ethic, they will consider you an asset and want to keep you. Regardless of cost.

Good luck!

That's kind of what I'm starting to find Wise-1. It would be great to find some kind of employment that actually accommodated school.
