Rusty Roof

Good evening Canadian Section.

First time posting on g35driver but Ive read alot of threads that have helped me along the way.

Ive got a 2003 G35 Aero PKG and Im located in the GTA

We recently got all 4 doors replaced due to them rusting from the inside out..

That went all fine and dandy. Alta Infi replaced them with no hassle.

Ive now got an issue where my vehicle is developing rust spots on my roof. At first you would think they're from stone chips but they are bubbling like my doors started to do last year.

Has anyone else come across this issue? Im gonna pull down my headliner later today to see what the damage is.

My car just dinged 100 000kms not too long ago and its already dying to cancer.. sigh

Thank you very much. Ill try to post up my findings and what the rust spots look like later today.

-Chris

Nope. Car was never winter driven once we owned it.

Even so, I highly highly doubt that they would spray above the headliner. lol.

Hey, I have a 2003 G35 Sedan too and I noticed there were rust spots that you were describing. I have about 10 on my roof just infront of the sun roof. Nothing beyond the sun roof though. I always thought they were stone chips... anyways let us know what you find after you pull out the headliner.

I have a bubble starting on the roof of my 03 coupe. Its been a garage kept FL car its whole life so this is pretty surprising. The paint looks great up there but it is rusting under the paint. Definite flaw

I wonder if it'll still be covered by the rust warranty as I read somewhere Infiniti actually extended the corrosion warranty to 10 years instead of the 7.... was that to the doors specifically or overall?

Since I work in the 401 Dixie Automall I was gonna go talk to 401 Dixie Infiniti before I head into work.

We could organize a meet to convince a stealership of this defect :P
