June useless thread
Carter was clutch!
^^ Curious why you say that about Alomar, Paul...is it because of the spitting incident? Aside from that -- which I think was at least somewhat provoked by Hirschbeck -- it seems to me he conducted himself fairly professionally.
On a completely different note, my front yard now seems to be on a skunk migration path. We've had rabbits for a while, they visit to eat in Mrs. Swivel's garden, then politely leave. But the skunks -- one adult one juvenile, I think -- trundle across the front step, through the yard, under the fence and across a busy street. As long as they KEEP going, I don't bother them, I just hope one or both is not there to greet me one morning when I open the front door to get the newspaper!
I'll try to get some pics, they really are pretty cute.
Edited to add pic (really quick shot taken through the house window):

So today was ****-tastic
Pulled my car up on the driveway and wanted to pull it into the garage. Normally I have to put down 2x4's do the rear boomerang brace doesnt catch the garage pad and drag. I got lazy and thought I could power over it. Wrong.
It bent the leading edge of the brace straight down. In-tern dragging on the ground no matter what. So I pull it onto the road and jack it up as high as possible to take that brace off. I look at my 3 month old rear tires.... just about at the chords. I went for 2 alignments because they funked up the 1st time. 5000 miles and my tires are done.
Order 500$ worth of tires, go back outside, fix the brace, re-install. Lower my car to the ground onto two peices of 1 inch thick wood. When I drive forward one flips up and wedges under my back bumper and pulls it down out of the tabs. now I have a big gap in my fender-bumper

I just hated the guy after he did that. I should probably let it go. He was a great ballplayer.A Joe Carter jersey is still better and worth more, IMO.
