Munich BMW Museum Pictures

I visited the BMW Museum in Munich at the end of May, and WOW what a place. It was easily the most beautiful/technology advanced building I've ever been in. If anyone is ever in Munich, I would definitely consider this a MUST see.

Great pics Shane.

The BMW Museum is part of 'BMW Welt', where customers can take Euro delivery of their cars.
They have a great program whereby you can fly over take delivery, drive it for a Euro vacation, then drop it off for shipment home.

Yeah, I remember Kevin (Picus) doing that a couple of years ago when he purchased his 335i. Definitely a sweet way to pick up a car!

It was an amazing place to visit.

I believe our brother Kevin (Picus) (GTA in Detail) did this for his new (at the time) 335i a couple years ago along with a lap around the 'Ring'.....

Great pics Shane. Tnx for sharing.

Great pix. The Mercedes museum/tour is really nice too. Gives you a whole new perspective & respect for their cars and clarifies the whole "German Engineering" concept. Don't even bother with the Porsche museum, it's about the size of 3 bedroom house.

Very cool, I find it especially interesting to see the non-automotive bits such as the 801 radial engine used in FW190 fighter aircraft in WWII. Later supercharged versions topped out at over 2000 hp! Sorry Ian and Deane, I don't think this unit will fit under the bonnet of your M's without a bit of cutting...

Thanks for posting Shane. That was very interesting to see.

Wayne, I'm fairly happy with the S54 under the hood now, although I wouldn't turn down another 100 hp or so.

2K might be a bit overwhelming for the drive train and chassis.
