How do you know times are real tough? ----

-- When you have to put down one of your best friends.

Sorry to bear the bad tidings but a lot of you know my pooches and have at least seen pics and also know how I feel about my guys.

Dayne, the 8 year old tan cocker in the pic with Sid, developed a stomach tumor, a sick liver, and finally convulsions. My vet and the emerg. clinic did what they could to save him, but to no avail.

Wednesday at 10:35pm, I had to give them one of the hardest decisions of my life and ask them to stop Dayne's pain.

So now he's up in heaven with Prince, (the tan cocker in my sig), Desi (Dayne's Dad) and Dorin (a family Shepherd from a few years back) and with my Dad, frolicking and happy once more.

He was a good friend and pack leader, and will be sadly missed by Sid , me, my family and some here who knew him.

Just about at the end of my rope,
Colin.

Oh no!
Colin, it breaks my heart to hear this.
These guys that come into our lives are sooooo much more than pets, they are family.
I'm so sorry my friend, if there's anything I can do, you know I'm here for you.

Take care.

Colin, I am very sorry to hear about your friends. One thing is certain, they lived a good happy life with you as their owner. Not all dogs are that lucky. Take care buddy.

Colin,

I'm so sad to hear about Dayne's passing. You have lost a very close member of your family.
I very well remember the day I can home from school to find that my dog Brandy had left us. That was 28 years ago. Its a tough experiance to have to go through but you still have the fondest memories to think back upon and all the great times that you had with each other.
I still think of Brandy every day even though he's been gone so long.

RIP Dayne

Sorry to hear about your lose Colin. It's the way of life is, things come and go. We can only grasp so much and not let so much get out of our lives. Don't be sad because it's over, be happy because it happened.

Colin, I'm very sorry to read about Dayne and your pain. That's a tough thing to deal with and a difficult decision.

I can only relate when we lost our guy just over 5 years ago. Still hurts.
