As much of a pain as that would be, it couldn't hurt. You never know who's watching.

Why what does that have to do with anything? They passed a cop car and he followed them and radioed ahead. They were not found by what they posted internet

Doesn't CPS have dashcams? If so, at least it might help protect these guys? The thought of what my insurance would cost after getting a ticket like that makes me wince. Especially if it happened during a responsible outing with enthusiasts.

It is definitely unsettling that CPS and other agencies have the power to whimsically ticket anyone they want, for basically everything, and force those people to court to defend themselves... paying for lawyers, traffic ticket specialists, time off work, conflicts in vacation etc...

I'm very pro police in general but this kind of activity definitely illustrates why so many aren't.

Yeah its absurd what the police force, including the RCMP get away with these days. And its the fact that they get away with it is the sad part. I hope you go to the papers and fight the ticket in court. Ill be crossing my fingers for you.

I have always had the utmost respect for law enforcement especially since I grew up in a household with a staff-sgt RCMP for a dad. Who knows, I may even follow in the old man's footsteps eventually, but this does sound a little too much like the cops had too much desire to make the big "street racing bust" and weren't using proper discretion. It does make me leary about the fact that just being involved with a cruise with fellow enthusiasts, can have a serious impact on my driving record and the amount I pay on insurance . I really would like to see what the outcome of this is.

Calgary police patrol the beyond boards as there was a cruise up to red deer a few weeks back and the cops were waiting for them and handed out a whack of tint fines. We're safe here so long as I don't get pulled over with my "g35driver.com, the G spot" license frame!

I really do hate the CPS, a few weeks back a CPS member followed me on airport trail, and was behind me scanning my plates. I have no tickets, no criminal record so I was not worried at all. I have been pulled over numerous times but get no tickets, I just get randomly pulled over time to time for driving a G35. Anyways I turned on to McKnight and I punched it, let the exhaust do my talking, the CPS member followed me in a different lane, then he switched into my lane, at which time I switched into the other lane. He finally pulls me over and came up to my car and told me "Your license plate does not come on the system" and I was like thats a lie, I have gotten pulled over before and never has a member of the CPS said that. Then he said the license plate does not match the veichle description again I told him I have had someone back into my car and filled a police report and which time no police officer told me this. After harrasing me and asking me when I got the car he checked my reg and insurance in his car he came back and said its all good I have put in a change request for you for your license plate. Complete BS, gave me no ticket and before leaving I told him he is lying out of teeth. He turned and said "You and me both know if I wasn't here right now you would be burning down the road" I said "YES" and then I ripped it in face, he stood there like a fool staring at dust cause I knew he couldn't do ****.

Not to mention the rest of us... Now that that cop thinks every guy in a G is going to be like that.

If this is what the cops are doing time next time you plan a cruse have a few members record the whole drive with video cameras including when the cop pulls everybody over.

Use it to disprove the tickets and don't let the cops know about the recordings so they can embarrassed be in court.

I was also told that the G35 is the car of choice for an Asian gang here in Calgary so the cops do pay extra attention to them.

Alberta cops in general don't mess around. I took a cross country road trip from Vancouver to Montreal, and the only 2 tickets I got were in Alberta
