Going from 18" to 19"s ?

What can I expect if I go to OEM 19's from my current 18's. All opinions/comments welcome.
225/40/19 on the front wasn't the upsize, 255/35/19 was. The rears were OK. Would this matter?

I've got 19's 245 front and 275 rear. If anything, the car feels more planted. I got the same sways and braces. The one thing the larger tires do is change the gear ratio, for the good. That first gear is almost useless, at least with the 19's you can use 1st gear.

If you're up-sizing wheels you should always match your OEM tire diameter by going to a lower profile tire.

If you start messing with overall rolling diameter you can start screwing up the VDC. You should try and keep the same overall rolling diameter.

^ I agree & will add; keep the front to rear ratios as close as possible.
E.g. if front rolling diameter is reduced by 1.5%, then the rears should be reduced by the same amount (as close as possible)

Sam , I say go for it. The forged Coupe 19s are some of the nicest OEM wheels out there. I think I know where you are getting them (another member here with a black Coupe) I'd jump on them
