AccessPort owners...

If anyone has an AccessPort, go to www.Cobbtuning.com and request the AccessTuner Race software. Its free for a short time. It allows you to custom map with your AP like the tuners can. If your handy with Data logs and have a decent idea about safe tuning, you can save your self some money on custom tunes. I've been playing with mine all night.

Imo, this is a real stand up thing Cobb is doing in lieu of discontinuing all N/A applications.

Hope this helps.

Hmmmm do you have to do the survey or do we just have to email them? I'm not seeing any mention of it?

this is a great application to use. I noticed that even the pre-programmed maps they had were not the best tunes. they ran very rich.

http://accessecu.com/register/cobb.php This should be it. You do fill out the survey as well. You will need the Serial number on your AP.

^They do all run rich. Even with the stock map my cars runs really rich. I'm thinking this self tune would be very handy for anyone in a Smog Strict place where you'd have to get E-tests done regularly. You could temporarliy map the car to run lean and clean for the e-test, then revert it back.

Only for the GT-r. $500 is the current price, but Cobb has stopped supplying them for non Turbo applications. No more N/A love.

They have them rich so you don't blow your engine, they are tuned to work in all fuel types, temperatures and elevations across north america so it is a not an optimum tune at all.

Probably a real good thing too. Nissan or anyone else for that matter wouldn't have too good a reputaion if their engines lasted 80-100k.

That is a myth. The only time I have ever heard of anyone washing a cylinder is when the cylinder is ran with out spark for awhile.

Frick. I'm not home for 3 more weeks (closer to a month )

I've sent them a note to see if they can provide me with it on the 20th of Oct when I get home... until then I guess I can just hope they work with me on it. If they're even doing this for their supporters- I imagine we'll figure something out.

Thanks again for the valuable info!

This feature has been restored allowing pass-through ECU flashing as well as data logging through the dashboard feature in AccessTUNER.

In addition, 3rd-party wideband O2 sensor support has been added including PLX iMFD, AEM UEGO and Zeitronix ZT-2 devices.

The latest version of AccessTUNER is now 1.8.1.0-13738. AccessTUNER Race can be downloaded by filling out the AccessTUNER Download Survey found on the COBB Tuning Website.
I though it was odd they were working on new software for a discontinued product but it seems they had a bug in the first one the wideband support would be good as well.
