You'd probably get more responses on the General Forum, unless you want feedback from Canadians in particular. I can move your thread there if you'd like.

I was in England a few months ago and there is tons to see in London alone so I would suggest a couple days there. It really depens what you like - I liked the Picadilly Circus area at night.

was in London earlier this summer with my gf...
i would recomend the British Museum and the Imperial War Museum. Both are very interesting! that's if you are into that stuff. go take a ride on the "eye"...its a great view of the whole city. Also i would recomend to stay at the "Thistle Charing Cross". The Thisle is a hotel chain...nice hotel, well priced...payed about 100 pounds a night...but DO NOT book on the net, call them and reserve yourself. i booked on expedia and ended up paying more than their regular rates. its in the middle of everything, located next to the Charing Cross station for the tube, and near the train station if you decide to take a trip out of London...Paris is only 2-3 hours away by EuroStar. 5 minute walk to Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden.

i wanted to add...
London is extemely expensive if you didn't know...be prepared to shop alot...have alot of nice designer boutiques and cool shops that's not available in toronto. People are not as friendly.
