Injen vs K&N for G37???

Any recommendations for an intake for an 08 G37 Coupe. I'm buying one for a friend for xmas. These are the options, both will cost me a little under $300. Any help appreciated.

I re-fitted the K&N I bought for the '07 G35x on my '08 G37S and I'm very pleased with the sound. It's quieter than it was on the sedan and it fit except for a minor tweak on the passenger's side breather. Not sure if the tubes are exactly the same for a G37 specific kit.

Thanks for the input. I'm swaying towards the k&n mainly due to what looks like a better heat shield and that it actually has the tubing right to the tb. The injen one is in stock though and the k&n kit will be a few weeks.

the K&N looks like a better build overall.

Sounds like both are pretty comparable and you couldn't go wrong with either. I just ordered my K&N CAI kit yesterday for my 07 X. I went with K&N because I have used their products before, it was a little cheaper, and my car is red so the filters will match. Ill post pics once completed.

Where'd you order from? I'm told K&N usa doesn't have stock so it'll be 4-6 weeks at best. Individual dealers may have stock though. I'd shop around but i'll never get it for under $300 like i can in town.

Ya, I have an account at Mopac. Unfortunately neither warehouse has stock of the k&n kit, so it's 4 weeks. )-:

Mine was in stock on Amazon but mine it is for the 07 G35. I paid 296.00 with free shipping because of Christmas.

Against my best judgement, i bought the Injen Set up. It looks very nicely made despite its lack of tubing. Thanks for your help.
