the G Brothers are no more...

Yesterday my Bro bought a 2011 F150 FX4, they offered him good money for his G and Ford is offering 0% for 5 years so he ordered it. He's keeping his Wheels and his stereo system so have an eye out in the Marketplace for them....actually if he doesn't sell the Wheels by spring I may try them out on my ride.

That's too bad Roy, that's quite a drop. I took out a few new Ford P/U trucks last year and was extremely disappointed in them.
As long as he is happy.
His coupe was a sweet looking ride.

To tell you the truth Wayne I was kind of surprised that he didn't look at GM Trucks, I think the interior looks nicer. He did get the FX4 with every option incl Nav screen and personally I think the F150 looks a bit more sporty than the Sierra but I'm still amazed he even bought a truck. He needs a pick up like an old Lady needs a GTR, if he put White **** carpet for a bed liner he wouldn't get it dirty, I think he's folowing his Bro's footsteps again for ex.

Roy's Cars
1. 97 Prelude
2. 02' Maxima
3. 04' G35
4. 07' Avalanche

Chris's cars
1. 97' Prelude (bought off me)
2. 00' maxima
3. 07' G35
4. 11' F150
His rides were all bought within 2 years after I got mine.

True (you know me too well ), I have had fantastic luck with GMC's but I did give the new Ford F150 a good chance. I drove them a few times and put a few miles on them. I was pleased with the look and the interior but I was very unhappy with the ride, and the poor handling of the F150s that I drove. On the other hand I drove a Ford Edge last week, testing it out for a friend, and thought it was great.
( I have been having fun the last couple of weeks, I have test drove the 2011 Ford Edge, Mercedes Benz GLK350, Infiniti EX35, Toyota Rav4 Limited and a Honda CRV EX-L with a friend, giving them all a good test.)

sounds like fun

I've been thinking about what I'll replace the G with in about a years+ time and am drawing a complete blank.

I'm finished with pickups, but I'll want some utility.
I still want to be able take things to job sites, pick up car parts etc etc.
Basically I want to replace the truck AND the G with one vehicle, but nothing is really turning my crank atm.

There are some nice SUVs out there that should be able to meet that need. I was looking at a older Audi Q7 which was the quattro with the 4.8 . That would offer gobs of performance yet able to haul lots of stuff in the back with seats folded down and also haul clients around in style.

I was looking for an elderly friend (much more elderly than me)
Here he is sitting in a car last week at MB dealers, a 2007 Ferrari F430 Spyder (it's a poor cell phone pic)

I like the look of the new Fords...Did he get the turbo 6 cyilnder? I was going to try one of those before I got another Titan but since it is the first year for than engine it might be prone to glitches

No the FX4 comes with the 5L V8. Speaking of first year glitches my Avalanche 07' model is prone to oil burning issues with the 5.3L so its getting the consumption test now, funny I escaped the oil issue with the G I hope I can escape it with the Avy.
