Yes, they do it in the morning. it's a rig that picks up any litter on the beach.
I think many public beaches do that.

A few more

St. Michael's cave, Gibraltar

This one is a chapel inside the Cathedral in Seville.
It's where Columbus prayed before setting out in 1492.
It blew me away to be standing in that same spot.

again all I can say is WOW!
The scenery is spectacular. The architecture is stunning as well. You have to admire and appreciate the old world.
The monkeys are like "are you putting on a weight, yeah, you're definitely putting on little weight" lol

For anyone potentially interested in going to Portugal, it's pretty darn cheap. Here is an example of how cheap it is. $599+tax gets you return airfare, 1 bedroom apartment AND a rental car for the week.

^plus $296 airport fees.

Still a good sounding deal if the place is fine.

Very nice pictures Ian. Gives me a serious hankering for another Europe trip.

When the times comes I just need to enlist the help of our travel deal shopper Shane!

Ian, it's amazing how similiar your pictures are to mine. The big difference that I see between your pictures and the few times I've been there is the amount of people. I look at your picture of Fisherman's beach and it's crazy how few people are on it. It's never super crowded when we go, however it's not as quiet as that either.

I see that you made it to Sintra. Did you happen to get to Pena Palace as well? I really loved Sintra, such a beautiful and quiet little town in the hills. What place stood out for you?

The number of people really surprised us as well.
Talking to some of the locals, they say the numbers have been down since the economy went south.

We loved Sintra, it was one spot that was busy with people.
We missed the Palace. There was a little miss communication and by the time we figured it out, there was too little time to get up there.

"which place stood out?"
Hard to say, each place was so different and had something special.
Seville was definitely a highlight and probably the one place that we didn't have nearly enough time.
