I've had very good luck on tires in the last 2 years. My Falkens were spent at 17K miles, the Turanzas were loud and hard, Khumo's were pretty good... but never again on the Falkens.

I then read thru the reviews at TireRack, Discount Tire and Consumer Reports and settled on the Hankook Optimo H727. Not as sexy as the Evos, Pirelli's and a lot of other tires, but good on snow/ice, rain and dry. Low rolling resistance, quiet and smooth. Have nearly 35K (with not one rotation yet) on them and still have 7/32 treadwear left. Cost for installation, balance and tires= <570.

I run 235/55/17's on an 04 sedan with sport set-up, if that makes a difference. I also get 450-500miles per tank highway and 400 city, but I'm not sure that's b/c of the rotational speed (70mph on GPS @ 66.7mph on speedometer).

i wrote it before , i would never go cheap on something my car's most important piece! which would save my life. i spend 1k(plus installation and stuff) on potenza re-760 last year and the treadware is still pretty good.

Come on you are driving 25-50k cars , dont be cheap on a crucial piece like that, i know at the end of the day i am not paying ur bill but my 2 cents.

^ I thought FK are really good/decent tires, I see a lot of people on here have it. I think their rated 4.3/5 if im not mistaken.

Im willing to spend 800+ on tires but my mind was set on FK thats why I was looking for that price range for that specific brand. but if theirs better tires out there that cost around that price lets hear em . I dont mind getting better tires, i chose FK because seems like everyone has em and have good ratings.

^ So did I, but after a summer of driving the rear tires were finished. Mind you, I had a staggered set up but still, I did a lot of highway driving and one side seemed to wear down then the other. You actually have a good price on tires considering that they went up in price a bit. The 19's are costing me a couple hundred more believe it or not.

Why can't people explain why a product is bad along with their negative comments of said product....

OP; 770 installed with an alignment is a good price. As long as the car isn't dumped you shouldn't burn through them that quickly.

I have ran Fk's 2 years in a row, noticed them get kinda noisy after 5-8k. I've only had mine 1 season at a time as I get a new set-up every spring. The tread was at about 80% after 10-12k on them with some spirited driving. Front tires were about 85%.

They definitely do get noisy after a bit, then again everything I've had over the past several years has. Driving stock cars doesn't cut it. Also forgot to mention the nitto nt555 was a good tire to me, wore extremely well but were pretty noisy from the get go, only got worse as my fat toyota feathered them away.

^ haha. I am still needing to buy tires for this seasons wheels. Probably try the Ventus V12 this year.

Anyone tried the the General Exclaim UHP? I get a lot of requests for those when people buy rims.

I might make it through one more season on my tires but if I end up getting new wheels, definitely picking up some Hankook ventus V12s.

Just trying to figure out if going with Tirerack is still a good choice or not.

The reason why im getting FK is because I thought they were the best bang for the buck.

Little bout myself, I only drive the car mostly on weekends which is 2-3 days due to I work mon-fri and I carpool so I don't drive. I've heard FK tread burns quick but I barely drive it that is the reason for my choice.

Does that sound reasonable now? lol If still not, give me some advice on it. Im noobie when it comes to tire brand since there SO MUCH to choose from, but thats when you guys jump in to help

Okay...

The sidewalls separate which causes bubbles., they're noisy after a few kms and they wear unevenly depending on batch.

I won't be buying FK452s again...

why not drive across the border and get them installed there?
That's what I plan on doing...weird about the FK452s I had no issues with mines nor did I do a alignment or fix my camber after installling coilovers

I've had no issues with my FK-452's.
Then again, I haven't put much kms on the car since I got them installed a couple years ago.
Alignment is all good, tracks dead straight, and I don't find them very noisy either.

What do you guys think of Dunlop SP Signature? I heard they are a lot better than the FK's.
