You don't want even heights all around unless you were running a square set up.

No need for corner balancing on a fitted car that can't even take an S bend at 50km lol

I had my coils installed last week @ SG. They also corner balanced and gave the car a semi-track oriented alignment.

Sasha was a great guy to deal with. Afterwards he took me for a drive and showed me a side of the car I never knew existed. I can't wait to get on the track this summer!

Ian, reason why you didn't go true in the rear and kept it multi link?

Faisal, you haven't posted pics but I met up with someone who said you had the weds on two weeks ago.....

well ...ended up buying a set of used scales today.

Got them from a guy that used to race with Fellows et al
Talked to him all afternoon about suspension setups; amazing guy.

Now I just need my COs to get here.

Nice pick up Ian. I would think a used set like that would be very hard to find.
your ride will be sweet with the COs and the Track Bug has definitely stuck her fangs in you

Thanks
As per the other posts^ I ruled out buying a new set, it was way too much money to tie up.
Just for the heck of it I checked Kijiji and could believe my luck finding these.

Excellent. Ya never know what's gonna be on Kijiji. Sometimes things fall your way, eh.

I had my inaugural corner balance session yesterday with a friends car.
It was a very interesting session that yielded some great results.

We also installed COs on this car and set basic ride height where he wanted them.
We ball parked the camber /caster plates for now.
A full alignment will follow.

Here is the corner balance 'before' data.

(...not sure that we recorded the 'before' ride heights exactly)

And the final data

Great information. Looks like you guys did an excellent job. I was surprised to see the before corner balance numbers so close.

we were too.
The setup for driver ballast and gas load would definitely impact those baseline numbers.
It definitely shows how well this car is set up out of the box though.

+1

I really found it so at the track compared to the G. There was so much less understeer.

Thanks for the kind words guys. That setup looks fun, those scales surely have some history!

Yea Porsche and BMW shops charge 400+ for corner balancing ALONE, which makes me wonder when I can get into those cars
