The location has changed.

For those of you interested, we have been meeting up with some other car groups on Thursday evenings at the Starbucks over on Jacklin and Rex Road, behind the Westshore Mall. This is in an attempt to get a Japanese Import group going. Most of the car clubs are small and meets are not working out. Some of us want to bring together some of the groups into one larger Japanese Import meet. The idea here being like the Hot Rods or the Classic Car clubs where they gather quite a crowd (owners and enthusiasts alike).

Last week we had out the WRX's, some S2000's, and a G35. Each week we hope to grow it a bit larger and to that end I am inviting out the members of G35Driver to come out and be part of the meet. Hopefully as summer comes around we can get a good size showing out and perhaps move the meet to a location where people that love Japanese Imports and the work that we have all done to our cars, can come out and enjoy them as we do.

WRX's show up pretty early around 6:30pm and we roll in around 7:00pm. Last meet we hung around till about 9:00pm. Please come out if you can make it. Be nice to have some more G35/37's show up.

Eh Dave...

Well that definitely sounds like something I'd like to get involved in- and it comes at a good time... though I won't be able to show up for a bit. I'm just going through the finishing stages of a TT setup in an 06 G35C- but the car ended up in Seattle to get some work done at Intec Racing. Getting the block built up a bit and hopefully if time allows a built tranny (I'm AT). Hopefully some polished parts will help make it meet worthy!

So I'm definitely in when I get the car back... but when that's going to happen remains a variable. Keep me posted, will ya? I think Phu and Mxwizzard would probably be into this as well- we've been looking for some folks to hang out with!

 

We have already had Mxwizzard out last week. Tim is coming out tonight again. Phu I don't know but please fire him a PM to see if he wants to attend.

Have you looked at the Poker Run? Mxwizzard is coming to that as well and it would be a good run for your car if it is done by August.

I heard about the poker run though I haven't looked into it too much- if the timing works out (I work out of town) I'd be into it.

I don't personally know Phu- I think Tim does so I'm sure they've already talked about it. Either way, I'm sure one of us will drop him a line.

Meh- the G is still hot even when there are no mods. Ask MX

Better low mods then not having a car at all- which is where I'm at... by the sounds of it for the next month at least- I'll be updating my FI thread here shortly as I get more details. I think we've got the course of action plotted... So at least we have that sorted out.

I'll make it out to ONE of these but it won't be until mid-late may.

 

Most of the S2000's are stock as well. I only have a few mods. Ian come out with someone else to meet the crowd.

 

I'll see if I can work something out with Tim... I'm back in town next week between wednesday night and monday morning.

I am trying to push for someplace other than Starbucks but the WRX's are sticking to thier guns. It originally was their meet place so I will leave it for now but even some of them were complaining.

We need to suggest other places. I wonder what the timmies is like on Goldstream Rd???

 

Goldstream i think is ok at night, but ive never been there in the evening. I wonder the Timmys on Old Island Highway and *** Hill Rd just up from Saunders Subaru...Handy for WRX guys if their cars $rap out! Starbucks is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

 

That lot is usually pretty full. It is a good spot with the Wendy's and Timmies there but the lot is pretty small and a very busy lot.
