Mine went up back in January, hoping it goes down in June

I always receive mail from my insurance company explaining future policy premium changes (good or bad) so I'm a little surprised there was not a letter or something.
Which auto insurance company do you have? I may wish to avoid them, down the road, if they fail to keep their clients informed.
I'm glad it was a reduction. Imagine if it increased $31/month and they didn't tell you.

I'm fortunate, my daughter is an insurance broker with my company, so she keeps me updated.

Not a chance in hell you'd get $1300 a year on a G here in Canada. The states are very different.

With a clean record, state farm quoted me almost $10,000 a year on a Z, but 4,500 on a G sedan. Dumb ****s.

I live in Sask, Canada and I pay $96.00 a month for insurance... It's about $25 less then I was paying for my 2000 Prelude TypeSH

The insurance is under my name, and I don't own any other vehicles/insurance policies.

Oh, no, if it increased in the past($5-$10/month) I would call and whine for few minutes...and get the usual story about "risk sharing, cost increase..."
This time I am afraid to spook them..I'll just quitely take the money and spend it on beer

I pay less than a hundred bucks a month on my 04 Coupe. It probably helps that I haven't been pulled over in almost ten years.
I go to Kanetix.ca every year to see if I can get a better rate. It's worth it, because one insurance company would want almost $2000 a year while another only wants $1100. Great site!

I was just recently surprised with a nice drop as well, from 178 -> 111/month - bonus!

Nothing changed/expired (tickets or accidents) from my record.

i just called them to rant , and the lady had the guts to tell me my area (yonge and eglinton) is now high risk area because it is in GTA???? my insurance dropped when i moved here because it was a low risk area.

what am i doing wrong , im 29, no accidents one ticket so far. no points deduction. do u guys have one way coverage with huge deductibles!!

Musti - checkout the Ins search site Jason posted a couple above yours - Kanetix.ca

With Ins companies you are damned if you do...damned if you don't.
You can move to a 'high risk' area which you may partly be doing to reduce the distance to and from work and therefore you spend less time driving. They screw you!

OR

You can move to a suburb or a distant town with less traffic volume but now you tell the Ins co. that you are driving 100km/day to/from work and guess what? They screw you for that too.

Like Ian says, time to shop around. You can do better but don't forget that the best price isn't always the best insurance and if you combine auto/home take a good look at the details of both. They are not all equal in quality.
I, for one, was fortunate to find out that my home insurance policy covers an item called basement "seepage" and most home Ins companies don't.

I'm 18 in Kansas City MO, and I pay $110 a month for full coverage on my 04 X sedan. I have no tickets but I did total (DEMOLISH) an 03 coupe 3 months ago and my insurance actually went down when i got the X.

Be careful guys the premiums are going down but your also losing certain coverages for ex. if you get into a car accident and injure yourself you'll be surprised that the amount of money allowance in your coverage has dropped up to 40%. I was talking to my Physiotherapist last week, he told me their losing money due to the cutbacks and people aren't getting fully healed because their coverage only allows for a certain amount before they are cut off.

Shopping around for insurance is a must these days. I was paying HUGE amounts for my cars, my House and my Rental Property. My Wife got a Discount through her work with TD Insurance we saved a total of $2100.!!!! Now that's what I call a Discount.
