New good mechanic's in Mississauga, details...

Columbus Automotive Services

Eh Guys, this is a repost from Musti82's thread back a bit ago with no details and deleted thread... These guys are good, I also got my window motor done there and a lot more... I also had them do my clutch, diff fluid and spark plugs... Let me just put it this way without posting prices... I talked to three of the other shops that are G35 shops, and these guys were cheaper and just as good... So here are the details for them...

Columbus Automotive Services
Ivo 416-882-1439
or
Iggy 416-898-2939

They are ruffle at Dixie and Mid way in Mississauga... Just tell them you got there number from a post from Jeff with the G35 coupe off of here... They will take great care of you... Hope you guys go there and appreciate there work as much as I did...

Jeff

Thanks Jeff.

Without knowing the history from previous/deleted posts. Are these guys "G35 specialists" or just a mechanic you had a good experience with?

Most of the work I do myself but it's always good to have an ace in the pocket that others owners trust.

Thanks,
Derek

I do most of the work myself too, but a clutch is a bit much to do on a G35 in a driveway or garage... Honda Civic, no problem...lol... They know the G35's in and out and Iggy owns a coupe that he is doing up... Thats the only reason why I recomend them... So far so good with everything they did on my car...

I forgot to mention that, I thought he told me that... Just another reason to go to them over some of these other shops...

I might get these guys to install my camber kit, shocks, springs, and BBK. Would probably be a lot cheaper than shops in Ottawa.

I just checked labour for coilovers and its expensive, APH will do it for half. Its funny some things are really priced well but some labour is a little ridiculous.

Who's APH? What's their number or website? I'm going to try and put everything on at once and save myself some headache.

I can vouch for Ivo as he's checked both of the cars I wanted to purchase. I have not gone back since purchasing the car (last week) but will go back to him when its time to install new parts or for any fixes.

He was very knowledgeable and told me about various things i should watch for.

Will post a further review when I go back....

Hossmaxima, what was the quote you received, very interested...

And another question for those in the Sauga area.....I want to install the ipod/iphone module to my bose stock system and so far the best price was 260. Anyone know of a good reputable audio shop in Mississauga, thanks!

Arthur I'm interested as well... I have coilovers + Front & rear camber kit that I'm looking to install.

I also have spacers in the mail... wondering if I should wait for the spacers to come before doing everything + alignment.

EDIT: never mind I think you're referring to Advance Power House? I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to get a quote.

He quoted me on the phone $450, then sent me a text because 'Dave' Infiniti parts guy referred me so he said $300.

Advance Power House is $200 for the install, and they know their shiat. Just some thing to think about, they just make up prices as they go, nothing wrong with that, but like I said prices vary on different items that they feel more comfortable with I guess.

$200 is very reasonable... I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow... hopefully the front + rear camber kit doesn't increase the labour price too much since it's all being done at once.

I've been getting ridiculous quotes anywhere from $600-1000 (!!!) to install my coilovers with front + rear camber kit

Yeah some shops won't even tell me a price they just say it's going to take a LONG time since it's a very intense job.
