Hey guys this is a question on behalf of my buddy ...
Just wondering if he would be able to take a magnaflow exhaust from a 350z and put it onto his 2004 G35 coupe.
Will it fit?
Will it sound different ?
Will there be any problems?

 

I believe the exhaust is a bit shorter on a Z and I'm assuming the hangers would be in different places.

You would need to create a little extension....that is the only difference between the 350z and the G35 exhaust.

The G35 is a couple inches longer

 

^^ Or if you can find an extension from magnaflow , but the person with the 350z if he bought it new he should have got the extension pipe with it.

In addition to needing a 6" longer midpipe section, the dual tips on the axleback may be recessed a little bit. My friend recently bought a stock 350Z axleback for his coupe and the tips are at least 3 inches inside the bumper. I'm not sure this pertains to an aftermarket Magnaflow catback, but they do share the same exhaust hangers. I also tried calling Magnaflow and nobody got back to me with an answer. Good luck. Try calling Magnaflow.
