i hope our neighbors to the north don't mind me venting in this thread.

how the heck do you not get suspended for this when the league purports to care so much about player safety and headshots in particular?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Detroit won't gain any new fans or value if they win the Cup. Nashville however, makes a long run and suddenly they have hottest ticket in the league.

Yep, Zetterberg is a Swede. We don't have many Russians anymore, although Datsyuk probably counts as 3-4 normal players

I'm from Detroit, but live in Cali now. Will always be a hopeless Detroit homer / sports fan

I actually think I asked you that last year as well

I hope some teams like Nashville and The coyoties make it a couple rounds to draw some interest for them help increase the fan base.

Man, we really just don't care when there's no Canadian team. This thread all but died six weeks ago.

Any who...
Can the Devils come back to take it all? I don't think so but I hope they win game 5.

I'm hoping Jersey can come back and at least force a game 6. At the end of the day though, the LA team is pretty stacked. I dont know how they finished 8th in the West.

Well, congrats to the Kings. Definitely an impressive play-off run.
Too bad about the 5min major though. That was a ball buster for NJ.

NHL Hockey is back..... back page news, that sport shot itself last year,
48 game season? why bother, should have just said we will play next season not like the 10 member fan base will care.... bitter? yes I am, I say for the first 10-15 games, 10 people show up, they are going to have to WORK to get thier fans back, the '94 strike in baseball nearly killed them, took steroids to get the sport back, what can Hockey do? I won't watch a single game in 2013 if they don't lock out them again, I will watch again in 2014

Not in the GWN, it isn't. As much as I want to be pissed off, I know that when the Flames play the Oilers next Saturday night, I will be in front of my big screen.
