The only other car that made me smile as often was my 69 MGB that I had in University. Thinking about it ..... the G gave me more. So yeah, it's still at the top of my list.

Nothing that new unfortunately. A 2000 ish Lexus SC400 with a few whizzy bits is where I'd point, but they are getting up in age.

LOL Paul, are you trying to shore up the "Rent in the Force" you feel around KW created by the untimely destruction of my G? Or, you not wanting to give me a lift to Blain's meet on the 18? I'm joking about the meet Paul, I know you'd swing buy to pick me up if I was able to go. Seriously thou, I appreciate you checking the listings. I'd like to move up to an 05 or 06 with under 120K on her. Right now I'm just window shopping because I can't easily get out to check one out. I'd take it to Guelph, Sasha or Vic to check out any of the candidates. Not afraid to pay for an opinion from any of those "Masters".
Having said that I'm not ready to pull the trigger, I'd probably be hard pressed not to if the "Right" deal was found ........ like the 04 coupe that had 17Km which showed up at Bahav's meet off Major Mac. last spring. It was purchased for $17 000. Oh Yeah! (the 07 you posted yesterday was interesting)
I'm waiting in the reeds and ready to jump, well hop anyways.
Thanks for looking Paul.

Timing is everything. This one got my juices flowing, been looking at the ad for a day now.

http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ312453453

but I just can't get to it to take a look or to take it to Simone's for a thorough
going over. Oh well, maybe it'll still be around in Nov.
Yeah, I noticed it was Diesel, sent the guy an email yesterday, no response.

If you are looking for a chauffeur I am always looking for excuses to drive my G anywhere (even Markham ). Let me know.
Also, Sean at the detail shop beside Simone has a little minor touch up to do for me on the clear bra.

I know I joked about this before but the first gen G is now officially in civic territory.

12K??!!?

The HKS closing thread couldn't have been better timing.

12K??!!?.
An 04 Cadillac CTS can be bought for 9K too (autotrader).
Eventually the price will bottom out on almost any make of car and then, yes, the kids start buying them and in many cases ruining them, by our standards.
The good thing is that some of us know what 'not to do' to a vehicle and the difference can be night and day compared to those that don't.

A stock 04 G35 is still better vehicle than a stock 04 Civic even if for some reason you pay about the same. Price does not always reflect quality, new or use.

I'd buy a second gen. if I found the right one. As for Civic territory, if I could get their Km/L on a firs gen G ....... I'd buy two.

Called the guy, seems nice. He has 5 people coming over to look at the car. 3 today and 2 on the weekend. I told him if it survives, which I don't think it will, I'd take it at his price if he'll take it to Vic on Monday (Vic's first opening) and it passes muster. Offered to give him a down payment to hold it until Mon. but he said he owes the people coming to look dibs. Gonna look at Civics now
