Stupid f***ing G35 drivers giving us all a bad name

A lot of the opinions shared in this thread are really skewed and dumb. Tired of the race car mentality some of you guys have about your near decade old boats.
No sane person, when not guilty of an offense in a situation like this is going to be like "Oh, hey... I see your driver is dead- probably suffering multiple fractures to every bone in his body- sorry about that. Here, let me give you a hand out of that wreck I just caused / witnessed. 1..2..3- there you go. Good pull! Okay, well... my job is done here. Pay it forward... see ya!"
They crooks when I turned 25 my insurance stayed the same bacause I graduated from Uni which means I dont get the student rate anymore, so turning 25 just "offsets" my student rate...BS

^ Are you serious?
The G isn't exactly the world's fastest car and it's certainly not all gangster. If someone were to have stayed back with a valid rendition of what happened- of course you're going to get questioned like anyone else... may even need to testify in court- but that is NO excuse to scram when there was an obvious fatality. The driver would have known because he helped the other guy out of the car. Getting grilled a little because of a window tint... okay- give me a break. But getting grilled over being a witness to a fatality accident... I get it. Fine... Grill me. And if you're not in the wrong you've got nothing to worry about.
I didn't know what 4DGS was on about at the end of his post- but it's that kind of disposition (that our cars indicate we're all criminal rounders) that is annoying. IF you're not a hammerhead with your car, and you don't have a string of tickets doing 30 over in school zones- then the cops have nothing to go by.
So for the love of God- if you witness a fatality accident don't just scram because you're afraid everyone thinks you're BA with a G.

I suppose I see what you're getting at but at the same token the system is going to be MUCH more in your favour when you stop and deal with it than if you leave the scene and then get "caught" or turn yourself in a couple weeks later.
I remain interested to see what turns up on this. Someone knows something- someone ALWAYS talks and I'm sure the cops are depending on it. I'll be interested to see the car when they finally end up tracking it down- be interesting to see how good the witness information is.

also sometimes we just dont think. it is unfortunate that its a G.
Will this raise insurance premiums for us in the future?
Age, Gender, Marital Status, Geography, Personal Driving Violations, Vehicle Type (cost), Accident Claims, Credit Rating, Occupation, Education, Driving distance to work, Miles driven each year, Years of driving experience, Business use of the vehicle, Theft protection devices (often results in discounts), Multiple cars and drivers (another opportunity for discounts).
Factors that DO NOT affect your car insurance premium
Some other a$$-hat street racing
^ That's like saying it's the cars fault. They look at accident rates by age groups of the drivers, not the vehicle. That's why young drivers (actually all drivers) are all lumped into age categories as well as the many other factors.
The only time I can think of that the insurance company will put the blame on the car itself is when the car brand/model is in the top of the theft category.
In the case of young drivers, I agree think it's sad what they pay from the start. They are deemed guilty until they drive long enough and well enough to prove they are innocent of driving badly like a few of their peers.

Well I was talking to my insurance company about the rates for a 06 range rover and a 06 x5 and surprisingly it is cheaper then my 04 G sedan.
I asked her how is that possible and she told me that more people make claims on g35s so it will affect its rate.
Who knows, that's what I was told.

^ Two different vehicle classifications would make more sense to me. Our 07 van cost less to insure than our 07 G did too, they cost about the same
....and yet my insurance dropped $120/year when I went from the 07 G35x to an 11 G37s with identical coverage. Go figure.
I didn't complain
Has there been any news on the alleged G35 driver who bolted from the scene...after helping.
