Chestermere is nice. I work in Foothills Industrial (the butt-hole industrial area of Calgary) and my drive takes 17 minutes. Downtown wouldn't be that bad - straight in on 16, drop down Deerfoot to Memorial. Might take 25 min.

My house in Tuscany finally sold (conditions lift Jan 27) after being on the market since October. Hang in there.
