took my car in for the first oil change, get a call that the car is ready and the lady tells me that the technician noticed a scratch on one of my rims, i told her that its not possible since i spent 4 hours zaino-ing my car on saturday and there was nothing wrong.....anyhow i go to pick up the car and see the scratch and the tire is also damaged. i also note that there is some chalk around the scratch which means that it is fresh (ie they did it). the service department was closed and i refused to take the car and expressed my concerns with the sales manager who said that he will talk to the service manager tommorow morning and let me know what they will do. pretty upsetting specially when they try to tell me that the scratch was already there before i took it in.
but before i bad mouth anyone i have to see what they are going to do about it. i'll keep you all posted.

got a new rim and tire from them, but now i noticed that the sctrached my centre console which they also said they'll replace. ahhhh the headaches!

Sorry to hear that man...but you gotta do us all a favor, who's the dealer? Maybe we either will try to stay away or fully examine our cars before we bring them in for service....thanks.

they said they would call and address the centre console issue, i gave them 2 days and i heard nothing. Finally i called today at 9am and they said that he would look into and get back to me, Guess what? no call back.
i cant believe this, and u want to know who it is? its alta.
i don't know how they get cars in and out of there? the parking is soooooooo tight.

I am going to bring my car to alta to fix rattles next friday. =(

 

I had a feeling it was Alta. I had my car serviced last week and found no obvious problems. They told me they'd call me back for my clock and never did as well. All is good for me now since I asked for it when they did the 12,000km service. I guess it's just luck of the draw dude...sorry to hear though.

BTW, Alta (and I'm sure other dealerships) do read this forum and posting your recommendations and comments can maybe change or help their attitude. Keep in mind that the front line people you deal with at service is not the people who scratch up your car, but then they still do have a resposibility to you and your vehicle since we are the customers.

Guess what? no call back, they said they would call me right back and nothing, i especially called at 9am so they wouldn't be busy. the thing that ticks me off is that they'll do anything and say anything to sell you the car and then for service u get treated like this.
